Default Dinner- uh, what?

I won't do this for every meal, I promise. Tonight, we're having diced chicken and ricearoni. The ricearoni is 300 calories, but I'm unsure of what to add in for the chicken, because my mom is just chopping it up and adding it into the rice.

I'm also making a veggie medley for a side dish, but the chicken is where I'm stumped. I have no idea how many calories to write down. Do I guestimate and bump it up to 500 calories to be safe, or what?

can you not have her to measure out some of the diced chicken for you then you add it to your serving of rice?

Of course I can. But the problem is, how many calories is the chicken? It really shouldn't be this complicated, but I'm making it that way. It just bothers me that I don't even have an estimate.

Well, you can google for nutrition information for chicken. Is it dark meat, light meat? Thigh? breast? How is the chicken prepared? Baked? Broiled? With skin? Without?

Try using this sticky thread at the top of this forum. It should have a listing for the calories in chicken.

I add the calories of all the chicken, and all the rice a roni, then take the number of serving and divide. Thats the true amount.

Because the box says it serves 4, say yalls servings are heavy and the box feeds 3 so 3 is the number you divide by.
