hormones and weight loss?
Last night my riding coach and I were chatting about our eating plans. She was telling me about a plan she had heard of that involved eating certain foods to target hormones that affect fat storage.
For instance, she was saying that cortisol, the stress hormone, leads to fat storage in the tummy area. By eating cortisol friendly foods, like eggs, your body would become less susceptible to storing fat in those areas, or more susceptible to burning off fat in those areas, something like that. Also remember her telling me that estrogen was the hormone that leads to fat storage in the hip/butt area of the body.
Has anyone heard of a book or article on something like this? It sounds interesting and I'd like to get some more information on it than hearsay.
