Default No more battery ..

I'm taking the battery out of my scale and I'm throwing it away .. and I WILL NOT replace it until i have done at least one month at the gym .. i get so frustrated w/ that stupid scale and thats what ruins my weight loss .. i went to the gym yesterday .. did 45 mins cardio mixed it up between the bike and the elliptica and about 15 mins on the nautilus machines .. but i do them as a cardio more then strength training .. today i was up 3lbs i know it happens .. but those stupid numbers are controlling my life every time i get on that scale and I'm up i give up on myself .. This is why I'm always restarting .. hopefully this will work for me!!

That's why I weigh myself on the Wii Fit every day. I'll look at the BMI and the graph but don't know the exact number I weigh. I only check it once a week or so. That way I can see if progress is being made, without freaking out over pounds.

I wish I trusted myself to *not* weigh in for a month. If I did that, I think subsconsciously I'd slip up a little bit since I didn't have to see the numbers (and am a natural procrastinator and would think "I'll do better later on").

What really sucks is that increasing exercise intensity often has the short term effect of an increase in the scale as your body is retaining water as it is forming muscles. Like everyone else, I hate to see the number go up especially when I know I did good.

Whatever works for you and helps you stay on task. I definitely to weigh at least once a week. I am still terrified that all my hard work will go up one or two lbs at a time and I will not catch it in time - does that make sense? lol Probably not but I know before that 5 turned into 10 and turned into 15 and so on!
