Hi fellow MRC'ers! It's been awhile since I've been on, so I hope you are all doing wonderful! I'm done 39 pounds now since the middle of January. Only lost 2 pounds in the last 2 weeks, but I went WAY off plan for several meals! Back to the grind now.
I have a question about the MRC Mayo. I made some tonight, but it came out very thin and runny. Doesn't look a thing like mayo. I wanted to make some tuna for lunch tomorrow, but can't imagine my runny mayo will help the taste at all. Any suggestions?
Also, I ordered some HNS drinks from Diet Direct. They sent me a sample packet that had a meal replacement bar that was peanut butter. OMG! It tasted just like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup!!! So good! Do you think the different flavors like that will be any problem? I'm nervous about straying from the flavors offered by MRC.
Oh, and I got a chocolate cake HNS in the sample pack....To die for! Yummy!

Congrats on the 39 pounds! Back a few months ago I posted a MRC Mayo recipe my MRC center gave us that was made without an egg and it was very thick and lasted for two weeks...I will search for it and post it if I can or I will find it in my recipe folder later today and rewrite it...I got the chocolate cake HNS too but haven't tired it yet, I just might today I know the peanut butter bar you got from Dietdirect is the BariWise protein bar and absolutely delicious. Here is the ingredient lists on the Bariwise protein bars so they can be compared to MRC's bars carbs, protein, fat etc....

Vitamin A (0%), Vitamin C (0%), Calcium (6%), Iron (8%).

Here is the optional Mayo given to me by my center, I like is so much better than what is listed in the cookbook...I adjust ingredients (mustard, paprika, lemon juice) for taste.
1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese
2 Tbsp canola oil
1 Tbsp white vinegar
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp paprika
3-4 tsp lemon juice
Combine in blender until smooth, can store in refrigerator for up to two weeks. I sometimes add a dash of sea salt, but not often, or some of the flavored Dash products to change it up...

okay, that is it! This is making me wonder why I haven't ordered DDirect, oh and making me a little hungry too! I am going to try some of this. Slightly bored with the MRC stuff after several months, so time to change it up a little.

Thanks for all the information. I have a question about the meal replacement bars...do they replace the entire meal or do they just replace the protien and veggie/protien and fruit respectively? I'm on the meta-slim-plus menu, the menu says it replaces protien & fruit/veggie but a friend of mine on the same plan was told by the center it replaces the entire meal. Would someone answer that for me?
I have lost 10.5 pounds and 10.75 inches in 17 days!

My center told me you can use it for all of b'fast or lunch however if you still want veggies at lunch... you can have those in addition to the replacements.
ohhhh....the pnut butter bars sound so good. I went to dietdirect and saw that the bariwise bars have 10g of sugar compared with the chocolate mrc ones that have 0. I'm so scared of the "sugar turns to fat" thing. I don't want to sabatoge myself but....I loooooove pnut-butter. Any thoughts?
Thank you for posting the mayo recipe! I will definitely be trying it so I can have some tuna for lunch. Getting VERY tired of chicken! The last couple days I've had ground buffalo with red chile and cheese. So yummy! I add some spices so I can have "taco meat".
All I can say is the first bite I had of the peanut butter bar was heavenly! I swear it tasted just like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup!! I ordered some of them and some chocolate marshmallow. Can't wait to try them!
The last couple of weeks, I've been driving about 90 miles to ride my horse with my mom-in-law and a couple friends. The meal replacement and 2 servings of HNS drink go on my saddle for a lunch during the ride.

Many of the MRC products are inconsistent with what the client is told they should digest...such as the creamy chicken soup has an extreme amount of sodium...if I remember correctly is was in the 700 range...I do not have a box to give you the exact numbers but I remember asking my center why am I allowed to have it with SO much sodium but I can't add just a dash of salt on my egss...even sea salt...this is true with many of their products...what I learn was to see what were my triggers...too much salt and I retain water and don't lose weight so I stopped buying the creamy chicken soup and other higher sodium products, the sugar difference in their products did not affect me but they might trigger others into wanting more carbs. It is a very individual process, our bodies response so differently to what we eat.
