Default Strength training everyday?

Is it ok to do strength training everyday or will it overwork the muscles? What about things like squats and lunges? can they be done everyday

You will definitely overtrain if you strength train every day. Your muscles need time to heal between workouts. Strength is gained during rest, not while actually lifting weights.

I'd only work the same muscle groups 2 or 3 times a week with at least 1 day between. You can lift weights every day, just be sure you are not working the same muscles each day.

You must rest in between areas. So like one day you could do upper body, the next day lower, then the next day rest, and then repeat the cycle.

I usually do upper MWF and lower Tu/Thu.
