Default Losing inches

Why oh why do I have to be the one to lose inches first and not weight. I started this journey on January 3rd at 198. I weighed in this morning at 195.2. I have had people say that I look great and keep up the good work. My clothes are looser in areas. But I feel like I am not getting anywhere on this diet. Why do we put so much on what the scale says. I hate it. HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT!!

I have said my peace!

I feel the SAME way!! I started on Jan 1 at 214...this morning the scale said 207 (thankfully today isn't my "official" weigh in day...lol). So that would be a loss of 7 lbs! Seriously!! I lost 6.5 of that the first week...ugh! I have a friend doing this diet too...she weighs less than I do, started one week before me and has lost 14 lbs.
Good thing we both measured ourselves, because next week I will be taking measurements again and I have a feeling I've been losing inches. Clothes are fitting better, lost a notch on my favorite belt, and my wedding ring FELL OFF yesterday!! Go Me!!!
Anyway, I feel your pain...we just gotta hang in there, the scale will eventually co-operate with us!!
Keep up the good work!!

Doesn't it feel good to vent sometimes Inches are better than weight... really. What if the number went down but your pants were tighter?

You have to base it entirely on how you feel. I'd much rather lose the inches than the pounds. Keep up the good work!

Me too! Clothes fitting better is exciting. I tracked myself with weekly weights and waist measurements. Some weeks one would go down but not the other. Some weeks neither would go down. We all lose at different rates, but even if your weight stays the same, you're getting healthier inside every day!

I just have to keep thinking that I am feeling better and looking better. I just wish the scale would go down. The good thing is that I measured myself on the 15th.

Do you guys wait 1 month to remeasure? When is a good amount of time to remeasure so that you will see a good bit of loss?

I measure once a month. That seems like enough time to see change. I admit that I weigh daily.

I weigh daily as well. People tell me to not do it. But I really dont let the number bother me.
