Post Hi everyone its my 1st post!

Hi, my name is Merry and I have battled with my weight over the past ten years. I gave birth 2 kiddies during those years which in no way helped the bod. I lost 30 lbs on weight watchers in 2008. In the beginning of 2009 I became a stay at home mom and this past fall I pretty much packed it all back on.
When I change my lifestyle I start out very motivated, but I always tend to eventually slip back into my old bad habits. I believe I am not a terrible eater, I cook dinner almost every night, I love vegtables, and I don't pig out, but I do pack on the pounds.
I just began my newest weight loss venture and 2 weeks in I lost 7 lbs. yippie!! I have been watching what I eat: I cook dinner every night with a different recipe from the American Heart Assc. Low cholesterol, low fat cookbook and I exercise everyday with: EA sports active 30 day challenge for Wii.
I am excited but moody. My poor loving and supportive husband who never gains a pound usually receives the brunt of my frustrations.
I have joined today to give and gain the support needed through this journey. I am willing to give it my all this time around in order to maintain a happier, healthier, thinner life!!!

Hi Merry!
Hey, many of us here have done the same thing, lost only to gain it back - but it sounds like you're back on track with a good plan and the determination to succeed - the support you need is here - we'll be here to cheer you on..

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired. Try the weight loss support forums, they're active and very helpful - also the Success stories are a definite must for motivation.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.

So welcome - you've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals,
Lee
