Default Can't load site, still today

Saw the other thread, which is locked, but wanted to say this is the FIRST time I have been able to get 3fc to load in 2 days. Hope someone fixes it soon. All morning I click load (various pages) and get nothing, whether by IE or Firefox. Hope to get on the 100+ board after I post this (if it posts...)

3 Fat Chicks was sold to Internet Media so that is why the site was down during the change over. I'd like to know how much they got for it, wouldn't you?

Not true. I've seen several posts from the mods and admins that the change over happened months ago and this is unrelated. Glad it's working now! I can't believe how much I missed 3FC!

The message board service Aimoo was down for about 3 days on at least one occasion. That resulted in scores of members leaving for other services, including me. An active board needs to be an always-accessible board. Old members will grin and bear it; new ones will find alternatives.

I am hanging in here, but my language is not fit for polite company.

Nope, none of my business. I trust they carefully considered their options, and did what was best for themselves and their families, which is as it should be.

Having worked as a computer programmer for a Fortune 500 Company (supporting older code, so doing a lot of debugging work), I know how easily these things can happen (and unfortunately how angry it makes customers).

The timing is unfortunate, because a lot of people are going to assume it's a forecast of problems to come (which is probably not true), but it can happen so easily, and the problem can be so difficult to find.

Often improvements mean fewer, less frequent problems, but can also mean mean bigger problems when they do occur, and people will forget or not notice that there are much fewer problems than before, and will perceive only the "bigger" nature of the new problems.

Even understanding and sympathizing with the problem, yesterday was rough. I kept trying to log on, even though I knew it would probably be less stressful if I just accepted that the problem might take a while to fix and not try to log on until today (that's what I kept saying to myself, but I didn't listen).

Oh I'm so glad it's back up! I've been trying for about 3 days now and thought it must be a problem at my end, although I can access all my other favourite sites. Relieved to hear everyone has had the same problems so it wasn't just me left out in the cold.
I've been having withdrawal symptoms!

I'm totally confused The site was sold long before you joined us, so nothing has changed for you. The technical problem was definitely unfortunate, but can happen no matter who owns the site. Trust me, we've had some doozies over the years when I was in charge We're glad that this time, the site was fully functional and recovered without any losses

For the record, the papers were signed in February of this year passing ownership over to IB. We are grateful that a very responsible company is taking it over with the goal of keeping the site as close to how we intended as possible.
