Here we go - a new challenge!
Everyone is welcome to join in.
Just post your starting weight (SW) and your goal weight (GW).
Log in as often as you like and post your current weight (CW).
First person to reach their 5 lb loss goal weight wins and gets to start the next thread for the next 5 lb challenge!

Thanks MsP!!! Did you move your goal down a little bit more??? If so I am impressed. If not, I am still impressed! YOu are so close and so inspiring to me. I have truly enjoyed all of your feedback over the past few months.
I am not sure what has made the scale move, I am not working out as hard and as often as before, but am noticing that my body is tightening up more. What I am doing, must be working.....I also am having about 40-60 grams of carbs/day and around 1400-1800 cals per day. STill drinking lots of water. I feel puffy all the time, but that must be part of the body changes or I just notice it more now. My clothes are starting to get way too big, but no money for new yet.....resaling is in my future.
You are doing fantastic. One day we will have to sit down and really chat about all of our trials on our journey. It would be wonderful. best of days to you today and always!!!

Jellofer - Congratulationss!!! Give me some tips too - what are you doing? And how long did it take you to lose 5 lbs? I am just following ww on my own, but still not too strictly. I am drinking lots of water & continuing exercise 3-4 times a week.

Molly----this is what I am doing, low carb, hi protein, drinking tons of water and being active. Was training to run a 5 K, but increasing knee troubles have stopped that all together. I am just trying to be active. Walking the dog, yoga, dvd's elliptical at the gym, whatever I can do. Mostly though it is eating. So we shall see where it goes!!!

Jellofer - You are doing very well. I know eating drags me down all the time. Lately, the main change I did was eating too and keeping up with gym. But good to know your plan. I will try it too: low carb & high protein.

Molly123--i did forget to add that I am working with a doctor who is developing his own weight reduction program. But No pills. Just good old fashined hard work and the occasional slipup!!!
I want to get to 234 by the first of december and have 8 more pounds to go.

I hope my scale is nice in the morning...regardless I am a totally New me compared to last year....THANK GOD!!

BarbPA----I did the samething for about 3 weeks. It was killing me so I used it as an opportunity to practice maintenance. Then I went right back into weight reduction mode and made some progress!!!!!
Had a sort of not perfect plan day today, but had a tough therapy workout. I will have buns and abs of steel by the time she is done!!! WOhoo!!!

I'm jumping back on the wagon for the first time in almost a year! My little man is now 3 months old - and since I've been doing nothing some of the weight I had lost after he was born is creeping back!! :eek: the #5 challenge is what I need to get jump started again.

Still the same as yesterday, but that's okay. I only did a mile jog (12 minutes) and did some stretching. But at least I know that 186 is REAL! lol! That puts me at halfway to my goal!!! Yes!! Now I just have to lose what I've lost already all over again. It's all down hill from here. :) (will update ticker on Friday...)

Barbpa down 2 today!!! woohoo! I fought with 2 pounds for what felt like an eternity. But, I have overcome and now am on a downward slide!!! It will come. Keep up with your plan, keep your goal in your sights. You will succeed. The body just has to make some adjustments.
Jazzypeg down 2 today. I have some competition on this challenge. I need to step up my game girls. :) Keep up the great work.

Angieaang Any exercise is good. Think of all those people out there who don't even get up off the couch. You ran a mile and thought it wasn't good enough. You did great. Keep up the great work and stay determined. It will get you to your goal. For me there are some days when walking the dog is as good as it is gonna get. Then the next day is a workout of a lifetime. You just never know what the planets have instore sometimes.

Ok ladies. Got to the gym after work today. 12 hour shift and a good workout. Tough stuff. I was looking in the mirror today at the gym and realized 2 things:
1. How big I was. Wow! My used to be tight shorts are loose and my was too big t shirt looked terrible. Plus my bras are getting a little to big. UhOh!!! May need to get replacement boobs when I get to goal. :)
2. I still have a long way to go. But I really don't care what people think about how my body looks right now. I have a goal in sight and need to keep pushing for it.
I worked out hard and my arms are talking right now. I can barely lift them over my head they are so tired. But that is ok. It is off to bed now. Early morning and then class, therapy a few errands and then back home to ready my house for company on friday. UGh. So much to do so little time. That is ok though. Might make for more movement on the scale.

Wow...it's nice to see a loss 2 days in a row. It's been a long time for me. This is day 3 for no exercise :( while my knee recovers from whatever I did to it Monday at the gym. Tomorrow I will do an UB workout at the minimum.
