Hi! I'm new here. I have a friend that suggested the site and here I am.
I have always "thought" I was heavy, but in reality, I was just a normal size girl. But listening to certain people in my life, I became what I like to call a "self fulfilling prophecy to FAT"
I spent 6 years in the Army where I was able to maintain my weight, still about 20-30 pounds overweight. I got out of the Army and had my first set of twins very early. Sophia passed away and Ava was in the hospital for 3 months. The weight packed on after that. Then in april of 2008 and I had my second set of twins, Tessa and Elijah.
My husband is deployed to Iraq and I really want to take the time he is gone to work on myself and the way I see myself. The best part is, my husband could care less if I never lose a pound. He is truly amazing. But I really want to be healthy for me, for my children and I'd like to look hot for my husband!
Time and motivation play big roles in my weight loss plan. I need a partner to keep me on track and lots of people to motivate me!
I'm new here too, Trish. And by the looks of things, we are right about the same size now. I lost weight last year and gained it all back, so any support I can get would be much appreciated, too! I am so excited to be here and meet people who are in the same boat as me. I am positive that I'm going to make it work this time!
Welcome and good luck ! You have taken the first step , you will find many people who have been where you are. We all had to start somewhere, the idea is to keep going and you will be successful.
Welcome...I'm new here too. I think it is going to be a great place where I can vent, get inspiration, and find people that will help me NOT QUIT like I have so many other times!! I know how hard it is to focus on yourself when you have small kids...I'm in the same boat...I have a 6 yr old and a 4 yr old. I'm trying to kind of re-establish myself as a PERSON, not just a MOM. I think that in the end, it will make me a better role model for my girls!
