Hello,
I decided to introduce myself after encouraging someone to use this site for ideas and support. My name is Eric and I was recently diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes. I also became a father for the first time June 25th of this year.
I have always been overweight. Sometimes more than others. I am above average muscular build, actually "big boned" wrist measurement 8.8 in and my weight started at 382.6 lbs. I suspect I will never reach what is considered normal BMI. I hope this doesn't sound like excuses I really just want to provide the facts.
So far I have done "The Zone" and had good results losing 16 lbs in 5 weeks. With Byetta, Diet and Exercise my Blood Sugar levels are in normal ranges.
I look forward to keeping up with the site and when necessary lean on some of you.

My son is diabetic, he has lost over 200 pounds, through diet and exercise.His doctor has taken him off his diabetes medication.
