Default Could I really gain weight that fast?

I have not been able to do any of my exercise this week nor my c25k since Monday. I had to take a few days off under doctors orders due to my ankle, I am on prescription diuretics so I just don't know if this is water weight. I have gained about 3 pounds since Monday. I have not changed my diet, the only thing that it may be is that I am not drinking as much water. I drink a ton when working out. I am so aggrivated! I will be able to resume my c25k tomorrow and my workouts. I am hoping I will see a differance in a few days. I want to think it is water weight.

Aw, Jinx - sorry to hear you're sidelined! In my opinion - you're just reacting to the meds, the water, and the change in schedule. By this time next week, it will all be a bad memory. Hang in there!!!

LOTS of things can effect weight.

For me, for example, painkillers will instantly put on 5 lbs. My body just responds to them with water weight. Other meds can have similar effects. And then there's just your regular every day fluctuations, due to hormones, sodium, etc.

A few days does not 5 lbs of real gain make.

I am sure that you all are right, I was just so upset when I stepped on my scales. I have diabeties and hypothyroid also so it ihas been a struggle to lose just those few pounds. Thank you for the encouragment! I do hope that next week it is a bad memory.
Thanks,
Jen

I feel so much better, I woke woke up at 140.2 this morning! I guess it was water weight or something.
I need to change my ticker now!
