Default Mia

I am checking in to say hi to all and get back into the habit of posting.
It seems I have been MIA since 6/2007.

The reason for my post is I still check the boards and I read the thread regarding weight loss sugery and a question regarding whether people who used to post still kept the weight off.
I can only answer for one of us but I have continued to successfully maintain my weight loss in the two year absence from the boards. I have successfully maintained a 120-130 weight loss for 17 years. In that time there have been some good and bad years. I have never left the road but have encontured some detours.

Good luck to all and I agree this a great place to get support.

Gina! So good to hear from you again! To be honest, I never had any doubts about you and maintenance. You're our longest running maintainer, I think, and a total pro at it. Pop in when you can because we always love hearing from you!

GOODNESS, 17 YEARS! That is AMAZING! You're a maintaining superwoman! Hi!

I had JUST joined the forums when you disappeared, so I never got the chance to say hello to you, but wowzer, what an accomplishment.
I, too, disappeared from the boards for a little while because I got into competitive bodybuilding and did not have time. But... yes, I am back now -- and have still kept *most* of the weight off. It's a constant journey, really. I think we ALL have detours every now and then; we're only human... what makes us good maintainers is the ability to turn around from the dead-end roads and keep on.
