Default New and Nervous

Hi y'all!
I've followed 3FC for QUITE some time but never worked up the courage to join myself. I'm pretty nervous! I usually find it pretty hard to just come right out and introduce myself, I guess I'm an introvert. But I swear I'm super nice and really chatty once you get to know me. Everyone here seems so so friendly and just like a really supportive group. I really admire everyone for working towards their goals, and I hope that I can to!
I'm a youngin', only 20, so even though I've always been slightly overweight it hasn't impeded my health or activity level. But sadly although I avoided the freshman 15, I did put on the sophomore 16. From a steady 180 through most of high school, I finished this year at 196. Just being home and not snacking with friends all the time has helped me drop almost 10 of that, but I'd love to lose some more. Thanks for reading all of this and I hope to get to know some of y'all better!

Welcome Kate

I know what you mean...I kept the freshman 15 off too but I can't say the same for sophomore and junior! lol

I wish you the best of luck with achieving your goals.

Default Newbie

Hello-I am new and ready to MAKE changes! I have never been this heavy in my entire life time. I am such an emotional eater and my physician has advised me to cut back on carbs. I have never had so much belly fat.

Any suggestions on what to do FIRST regarding a food plan?

I joined the YMCA and attend 3 classes weekly--I had stopped ALL excercise?!?

Need encouragement BIG time.

I had the freshmen 27... @_@
I went from 185 to 212.. from being 12 pounds overweight to being 7 pounds obese in a matter of months. I'm almost back down to where I was in high school though! (175).

Hi Kate! I'm right there with you. I just turned 19, and I put on the freshman 45. I was 200 exactly when I left for school, and by the time I got home for the summer, I was 245...and I just found this wonderful forum and decided that it might just be the support I've been looking for!

There are lots of "youngins" here, and I think it's awesome that you all are motivated to get healthy habits NOW!!
