Hi everyone, I've been overweight ever since my 2nd son was born in 1996 (I have 3 sons) - a few years ago I went on South Beach and got down almost to my goal weight, then just kinda gave up for some reason! Gained back every pound.
Last October on my 39th birthday, I decided my gift to myself would be to get fit by forty! Well, I only have 3 months till my birthday so I probably won't be at my goal, but I would love to be considerably closer.
I started South Beach phase 1 yesterday - it's a pretty good fit for me since I love veggies and cheeses, and can pretty easily give up "bad" carbs and sweets. So....here we go again!
Exercise-wise, I've started walking the pooch every evening - we are both out of shape and are panting after a couple miles
I'd also like to start back up with Jazzercise classes, but at this point I can't bear to smoosh myself into any kind of lycra workout clothes.
I'm looking forward to having some weight-loss buddies!
