I'm kind of late at joining as I'm very close to goal. I've been lurking for a long time though... definitely got some great tips from this site.
I'm a former marathon runner who moved up high 3.5 yrs ago and stopped so much running, but remained active. This past winter, I switched jobs and focused solely on work. Even gave up my gym membership!
I had great success workwise however, and once the snow melted and I had to get out of my fleece, boots and baggy pants, I discovered I'd gained at least 12 lbs from my normal weight.
That's awful!
So, I started counting calories, running, back to the gym and cleaned up my eating. I'm almost back to goal and feeling good.
Now it's just my lifestyle and I won't be letting go of it, even when the snow starts falling once again.
