Default I got the weirdest compliment yesterday...

I was at a gas station, wearing long shorts, when some man came up to me and said, "I'm not being a smart ***, but you have really nice calves and ankles. I'm totally serious!" I was like, okkkaaaayyy...I didn't really know how to respond because it really caught me off-guard, but I laughed and said thanks!

I guess all the running I've been doing the last two months is paying off!

Sounds like you came across a "leg man"! I would probably feel caught off guard by such a compliment from a stranger, too, but I'd probably also feel flattered. Cool!

Good for you!! I have noticed running really defines your legs. The other day I squatted a little and slapped my legs to get my dog excited. While I was hitting my thighs I thought, hey where did the jiggle go, LOL?!?

It's an awkward compliment, to be sure, but I think only well-intended.

Too fun! Sure, it's a little weird, but it does give you a little smile, and it will certainly motivate you to keep at it!

Default weird complement

I once had a patient who told me that I had pretty elbows! When I laughed and said thanks she told me not to laugh because she was in a wheel chair and was at elbow level and she really noticed how everyone's elbows looked.

I think it depends if the compliment is given with a leer - you know what I mean! But generally, a sincere compliment, even from a stranger, is a real charge. Congratulations!
