Default metformin and bloat?

I'm on 2000 mg/day (1000 w/ breakfast, 1000 w/ dinner) and have been for a while. I've lost 20 pounds since January, and for the last week or so have been wicked bloated. Like, hey, who is blowing up a balloon inside my midsection? It's quite uncomfortable, and of course doesn't help my clothes to fit better, and makes the numbers on the scale go up by a few pounds, which is quite discouraging. I am seeing my endo on Monday, and want to talk about decreasing the met to do away with the bloat, but a part of me is worried that if I reduce the met that losing weight will be harder.

Any thoughts? Any herbal teas or anything that y'all can recommend for the dreaded belly bloat?

Thanks!
