LA Weight Loss - Pounds per weekView Full Version : Pounds per week Katie Franklin 06-08-2009, 06:32 PM Ok, what are you all averaging per week for weight loss? last week was my first week on a diet and my scale shows i lost 6 pounds. do y'all think that's possible? Katie Franklin 06-08-2009, 06:39 PM do you think it's possible to lose that much or do you think there's something worng with my scale? Ruthxxx 06-08-2009, 06:42 PM Of course it's possible. Weightloss depends on lots of things: how much you need to lose, age, medical conditions, drugs, your activity level, whether you have been dieting before, time of the month, stress levels, ....you name it. I loss of 2 pounds a week is average when starting out. Rosinante 06-08-2009, 06:52 PM I'm averaging 2.26315789lbs a week. CountingDown 06-08-2009, 07:55 PM You can definitely lose 6 lbs your first week - much of it will be water weight. But, it still counts ;) I averaged 1.71 lbs. per week. So, do it NOW - don't wait until you are an old chickie like me  RealCdn 06-08-2009, 08:18 PM Fast losses are common, especially if you change your diet from carb heavy to protein heavy. It's a nice boost, but don't be disappointed if next week is a small loss, or some people even find they'll have a small gain. Even with messing around the last 5 months or so I've averaged 1.48 pounds per week. Of course it means more when I say that it's for the last 78 weeks. :) cfmama 06-08-2009, 09:19 PM I've lost an average of 3.32 lbs a week over my 8+ month journey so far. MrsWolf 06-08-2009, 09:40 PM I have averaged 1.75 lbs per week (hey, that's pretty good!). I also lost very quickly at first (14 lbs in the first 4 weeks) and then leveled off to a very respectable 1.5-2 lbs most weeks. You're doing great! Don't stop! Peace, Heather 8675309 06-09-2009, 03:06 AM When I'm actually actively watching what I eat and exercising I can drop 2-3 lbs. But lately with my stress eating I've been doing horribly and consider it a blessing to not gain. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
