Default Anybody try Slim10?

So yes I fell victim to the magic pill scam... to be honest I feel like it is working to supress my appetite. No side effects for me thus far.. Anyone else have some results to share?

dream - The way to judge a pill is by looking at its ingredients because most diet pills on the market are just permutations of the same ingredients of every other diet pill. This appears to be the kitchen sink of diet pills in that they seem to have thrown everything they could in it. I think it has some dangerous ingredients and should be avoided, individually promising ingredients can be bought individually if you'd like to try them. Here are the breakdown of ingredients:

Hoodia - Another pill that claims to have hoodia in it. Unfortunately, pharmaceutical companies have not figured out how to effectively create a hoodia supplement so most pills that claim to have hoodia in them just add fiber instead.

Advantra Z aka Citrus Aurantium/Bitter orange - You should avoid any pill that contains Advantra Z as it is dangerous. Consumer reports listed citrus aurantium as one of its dirty dozen of dangerous supplements. It has similar effects of ephedra which has been banned in the US and I expect this one will be banned sooner or later. Here is a link with more details: http://www.3fatchicks.com/bitter-ora...lement%20/

Citrimax aka HCA - 3FC wrote up a mini article about this. Basically HCA has not been shown beneficial for weightloss and can be harmful. Here is the link:

Tonalin aka CLA- This is probably the most promising ingredient of all as there has been some evidence that it can help you maintain weight loss but not help weight loss itself. You can buy this supplement in any drugstore by itself though. Here is a writeup about that: http://www.3fatchicks.com/cla-conjug...oleic-acid%20/

Phase 2 - This is the white kidney bean extract which is supposed to block the absorption of carbs. Although it appears safe, it doesn't appear to be effective.

7-keto - This appears to be a naturally occuring thing in the body. I can't find too much info on it but one small study did show some promise. Again you can buy this one separately if you want to try it out.

Neopuntia - This appears to be similar to hoodia in that it comes from a cactus. There has been no evidence that it works and I assume they'd have similar challenges as hoodia.

Slimaluma - Again this is another cactus product. No evidence that it works and again probably similar challenges as hoodia.

Forslean aka forskolin - This may show some promise but things I've read about indicate it may show some slight promise in various applications but that it has possible negative cardiovascular effects and should be taken under doctor supervision.

Chromate aka Chromium polyniconate - Chromium polyniconate as opposed to Chromium Picolinate (which should be avoided) has shown promise in certain applications, especially with those that have insulin issues. It can be purchased seperately though.

Carnipure aka l-carnitane - This would fall in the category of useless. L-carnitane is made naturally in the liver and the body doesn't need much so the body can't use any excess l-carnitane. Here is a writeup about it: http://www.3fatchicks.com/l-carnitine%20/

Well it does have fiber in it but there are easier/safer/cheaper ways to get fiber. Metamucil/benefiber are 2 common off the shelf products although veggies/fruits have tons of natural fiber.
