Hi Ladies:)

WHERE EVERY ONE.

W-I this morning and I stayed the same.Had problems with sodium again.Have no idea why as I don't use salt to season my meals.Must be what in the food products I have to read labels more carefully.

Woke up late as I got so involved with the football game last night.

THE STEELERS WON,and what a game that was.In the game before I rooted for the Arizona Cardinals,so it should be a easy game for the STEELERS at the SUPERBOWL.

Have a great afternoon, will be back later

Hi everyone. I set up the new pages and didn't get back all day. We got almost a foot of snow between the storm yesterday and a different one last night. Had to clean off the cars, again! Had a drs appt at 8:30 which was quick and I was home within an hour. I then took DD to the state park near us to go sledding - there is a big hill and it was a lot of fun. Then, made it home and took the dog for a walk, cooked a roast turkey. We've finished eating and everything is cleaned up. I'm looking forward to my regular day off tomorrow. I do need to go grocery shopping and I have a hair appt at noon.

Maryann, do you drink a lot of water the day before wi? It may be worth a shot to drink a ton on Sundays to clean out things before wi on Monday. How did you make out with the snow? I saw on the news the Cape didn't get too much. Hope all is well.

Well, got a few things to do. Have a good night.

Maryann, at least you didn't have a gain. I sometimes get water gain. I've really been drinking a lot of water lately, and it helps at WI.

Paula, glad you had fun in the snow. I'm originally from Michigan, and we used to get lots of snow. I never liked it. We got an inch or so today. Very unusual for snow here. I heard an hour south of us is expecting 4-5" tomorrow and they've already canceled school, etc. I'm sure we'll get some of it too.

I lost 2 lbs at WI. I'm 3.4 lbs from reaching goal. I thought I had stayed the same, so it was a pleasant surprise. I've been tracking and exercising everyday, so maybe it's finally paying off.

Guess I'll go watch some tv and do my treadmill. Have a great evening.

Pam, congratulations on losing and being so close to goal. :woohoo:

Maryann, drinking a lot of water is a good idea.

Rhonda is on her way to the inauguration. I don't know where everyone else is.

Today's been a good day. I feel very proud of myself for staying on program.

Good Morning Chicks! Today was weigh in day and I'm happy to report that I lost 5.2 pounds due to the combination of processes/programs that I was doing during the week.

I'm now researching my next move.

I'm SO excited for Rhonda. I'm not the type who likes to be in the thick of things but I'll be watching the TV all day in between taking the dog to the Vet.

Pam, you are doing AWESOME! I hope to be close to goal someday. It really sounds like Core is working for you. My downfall is portion control. I hope to master that soon.

Maryann, I think water consumption is one of the MOST important things on Core. If I didn't drink at least 64 ounces, I wouldn't lose weight.

Sandra, congratulations on a great day, my friend!

I'm off to change my tracker.

Vickie - congrats on the 5.2 loss!!! Makes rethinking worth while. Can you do the same thing again this week?? For me, when the program (which ever one) I'm following is dreadful but I have a loss, it doesn't seem so bad. I hope you can keep up the motivation this week. How did Jim make out?

Well, already went grocery shopping. Have a hair appt at 12:15. I need to vacuum. Otherwise, not much going on here. BBL

Good Morning Ladies:)

Well today is wash day,and going to work on getting the high sodium foods out of the cupboard and let Leo have it. Not going to stop my Weight loss process destroyed over sodium.

PAULA-I did drink a lot of water on Sunday, but some how it didn't work. I guess I will have to drink the same amount the whole week though. Right now i averaging about 80 oz a day[1/2 my weight] but maybe that's now enough.

I thought you liked in the Chatham area of the Cape, but I guess not if your asking about the amount of snow the Cape got. We only had a dusting this morning & yesterday. JUST CALL US LUCKY.:luck2you:it must be the winds that come off the ocean that saves us.

PAM-Thanks I should be happy:) as I have gained from water retention in the past.:carrot:BIG CONGRATS on your 2 lb weight loss:carrot: WOW you almost there,WTG

SANDRA-That what I have to do,I used to drink so much of the H@O in the summer months but in the cold winter Its impossible. Does hot decaf tea & other hot beverages count for water?????

VICKIE-I'm so happy & Congrats:congrat: for you losing that 5.2 you're doing fantastic. You're on a roll, you can do it. If it just portion control you'll make the big time in the weight loss dept.

Have to get going

Thanks Maryann!

Paula, Jim lost 7.2. He exercised and I didn't. He also did all kinds of snowblowing. I'm about to get on the treadmill. Jim stayed on Nutrisystem. I am now considering Jenny Craig. They want to put me on 1700 calories though and I'm not sure that's enough for a 303 pounder! My choice is 1700 or 2000 calories. They let me have a days worth of food so I'm testing it today. So far, I'm hungrier than on Nutrisystem. I think Nutrisystem had more fiber. We'll see. I'm going to keep searching. If nothing else, I can go back to WW/Core. I just don't want to cook for just myself if Jim is going to keep doing Nutrisystem.

Vickie, congratulations on losing 5.2. That's a great loss. I have an idea. What about buying WW TV dinners for you? You could go on WW and eat mainly their dinners for your meals then have ww-style snacks. When I do that, I lose well. I usually add a large tossed salad to the TV dinner to give it more bulk. Also, when I eat the 4 pt roast turkey/mashed potatoes, I add a slice of bread. That makes it seem like a real meal. I have a freezer full of WW TV dinners now, so I'm eating them sporadically. The week Curtis was gone to the Olympic Center, I ate them 2 meals a day the entire week and had a great loss. Anyway, these are just ideas.

Maryann, one of my doctors once told me to get rid of processed foods (I was having trouble with fluid on the ear.) because of all the sodium in them.

Paula, I ran the vac this morning. Sure am glad our home is small.

We're doing paperwork now, and maybe we'll head to the gym before lunch. If not, I will heat Curtis some lo chicken pot pie and I'll have one of those WW TV dinners. Life is good.

Vickie
01-20-2009, 02:17 PM
Thanks, Sandra! I absolutely may do that. I'm thinking I'll try Jenny Craig for 10 weeks.....for $20. Then I'll maybe try what you are suggesting, assuming Jim is still doing Nutrisystem.

The food has been real yummy so far.

Hi Everyone
Well weigh in wasnt good for me last night. I gained 2 lbs. Not real sure why. Guess maybe I didnt get enough water in. Because on the days when it was below zero. I know I didnt drink much water. And then we ate out twice over the weekend. So am going to try and drink alot of water this week.
PAM920 Wow only 3 lbs to goal. That is awesome. Congrats on the loss.
BEACHBUM how are you doing. Had some errends to run this morn. But when we came home I got a couple loads of laundry done. We are going to go see my Aunt tomorrow. Weather permitting. So when we get back I will do some more laundry. I just wish I knew where all the dirty clothes comes from. I am glad the STEELERS won also. Just hope they can win the Super Bowl.
VICKIE I am so proud of you. That is a awesome weight loss. You can do this. I know it is a struggle. But we are in this together.
ONTARGET Congrats for staying on program. Did you get your yard work done the other day.
BLESSEDWITHSARAH How did your hair appt go. I need to make us one. But just havent done it yet. But the lady we go to isnt in but 3 days a week. So maybe I will try and call her tomorrow. She is in on Wed, Thurs, and Fri and every other Sat.

Vickie, 5.2 is fantastic.:bravo:. Portion control is the key. I try to stay away from processed foods. I've heard that Jenny Craig foods are really good. I'm sure you will find something you can live with.

sandra, I noticed it said you joined in Dec,2008. Is this your first time with WW? It's my 2 time.

Paula, did you get your hair cut? I got mine cut last week and she had the one side a tad longer. I went to have her touch it up and she is only working on Sat. She got a full time job at the Court House, so I went to another shop and the owner fixed it for me. Free of charge, but I gave her a nice tip anyway. Guess I'll start going there. It's the same place my daughter goes to.

Maryann, I know what you mean about holding fluids. I had Progresso soup once, the day before WI and gained 2 lbs. I was so upset and haven't eaten it since, :)

coco, I've finally started drinking water and the scale is moving good. I never used to drink water. With the new Momentum program, they say liquid, where it used to be water. So, you can count your coffee, tea, soda, towards your fluid intake. Eating out, you never know what they put in the foods. I'm sure lots of sodium. Next WI will be better.

I've been watching the events on tv all day. The high school I graduated from, their band was in the parade. My daughters best friends son is in the band. He plays drums. What an honor for him. I'm glad I was here to see history being made.

Watching Biggest Loser. Hope everyone has a pleasant evening.

Just a quick check in.
Thanks for the encouragement. I need it. You ladies are wonderful.
Was going to go to my Aunts today. But I got to find out about the roads. For some reason they canceled school here. It is 12 degrees. And a few snow flurries. But the road in front of our house looks ok. So will call my Aunt and see what her roads is like. She leaves way out in the country. So maybe the back roads are bad.
If we dont go there. Will work on laundry and some house cleaning.
I hope everyone has a great day.

VICKIE-Your welcome,I do understand cooking for yourself. Its not easy, unless you cook the recommended serving that a recipe calls for and throw the leftovers in the freezer for another meal.

SANDRA-The only processed foods I eat are those Lean Cuisines and that only on cheat day.

COCO-I'm fine other than annoyed with my W-I this week. I guess we can call us the Laundry:queen: Queen this week.Sorry about your gain,I know it can be hard when not eating at home. Here's to next week.

Hi Everyone:

Congratulations to those who lost (way to go, Vickie) and to those who didn't or who gained: we'll get there!

The trip to Washington was very tiring and not for the timid. Let me get the bad news out of the way. I went to the inauguration with one of my nieces and her cousin from her father's side. We were good companions and that was very important.

We got up at 5AM, left on the Metro at 6:30 and got home 13 hours later. All was fine until we got to the area where there was a security check-point. Now, imagine this scene. For about 3 hours we stood in the cold in a crowd so tightly packed that most of the time we could not move. The crowed covered blocks. I am not exaggerating or dramatizing.

We were at First Street and Avenue D. At first, I thought it was organized chaos. Then, I realized it was simply chaos. As one of the strangers around me said, it was neglience on the part of the police. We were in danger, no doubt about that.

At one point, four police officers came through on bicycles, telling us to let a police car through. There was not enough room to let the car pass, but the driver sat there, blaring his siren. He was one person away from me. Had he come through, I would have had to jump on the hood to avoid being run over. Again, I am not exaggerating. Finally, the bike cops convinced him to back up and go away.

I see that the CNN website has some reports about the chaos. My niece tells me that NPR is reporting it. She says that you can hear our crowd as we chanted "Let us in, let us in!"

The crowd was for the most part extremely well behaved. I saw only one person explode in anger and four others leave saying that they couldn't take it. I do NOT like crowds, but we stayed as calm as we could.

I have learned that some people who had tickets didn't even get in. There was no one in charge telling us anything. Someone actually called the Washington information line and said "get us some help here." That didn't work. There were two medical emergencies and medics did get through.

Once the bottle neck broke, and I don't know how it did, we were OK. We got to the Newseum, where we had tickets, just as the invocation was beginning.

We watched it all on the big TV screens, in the warmth of the building. We could have had a front row for the parade, but we stayed inside. We were about 20 yards away, I'm guessing. We had good views of the parade, but the Obamas were still in the car where we were.

The City of Washington DC owes some very big apologies, I'll tell you that. I simply do not understand it. I imagine crowd control is very complex, but they had months to prepare. The lack of information was the worst, of course.

But, as one person wrote to the Washington Post: we went where we were told to go, did what we where told to do, behaved ourselves and no one in authority helped our suffering. Also, we were told not to bring food or water. Stupidly, we didn't. If there is a next time, I will and then I'll just throw it out when told to.

Forgive me for such a long description!

The rest of the time was wonderful. The Newseum was a good site (some food problems, but when we got it, it was delicious)....we saw all we thought that we would and then some. The people were wonderful..those who worked there and those who were watching the event. There were huge TV's in nice auditoriums, but like kids a lot of us just threw our coats on the floor and laid down and watched the TV. It was a great big party...skin color, age, gender...nothing mattered except having a good time with the country's new President and VP.

I'm tired!!!!

Rhonda

Rhonda, thank you SO much! I loved your description. Jim and I avidly watched every crumb of video we could. Surprisingly, Beyonce said something that summed it up for me. After she sung At Last at the first ball, during an interview she said, "I'm SO proud of my Country". Me too, Beyonce!

I hate that you were so uncomfortable and experienced all that chaos. I couldn't have handled it. The World Series game was enough for me and that was only 40,000 people! I hope you tapped everything so that you can see it again.

I've got a very busy two days. I hope to check in later.

Got busy and didn't have the time to post.

Nothing new,The only thing, I fixed my treadmill to run a little smoother,by putting silicone on the bottom of the wheels that operated the track. My treadmill is a older model, that has no motor. When I walk on it,I burn more calories as I have to make the treadmill work.

PAULA-Congrats on your .6 loss,I take that anytime to a maintain.

VICKIE-Thanks,for the prayers. Process foods are not really bad,but I must say watch the SODIUM or drink more water when eating them. I'm surprised that the manufactures put so much in their prods.

SANDRA-I used to eat lot of W/W & L/C frozen entrees when I was younger but now I have to watch my sodium intake,so I stay clear of these entrees except for cheat day. Thanks, I know he'll be OK as he says he feels fine and doesn't feel like he has it anymore. Praying that hes right.

RHONDA- Oh my goodness sorry for what you had to go though at the inauguration. Leo & I Hate crowds and we would never even go the ball dropping on New Years Eve.when we lived in the city. Luckily you were hurt.

PAM-Going on my treadmill tomorrow, will do my walking tapes instead.

Pam, :woohoo: on doing 2 miles on the :tread:. I did 20 min :ebike: last night so I'm due to do 40 tonight. That's the plan, anyway.

Curtis and the hired man set out 4 trees today--3 pecan and 1 Bradford Peach. It'll be my job to keep them watered. We'll be looking for a yard swing to go under the Bradford. Life is good.

We're planning to go to the club tomorrow. We haven't been all week because of doing yardwork. I don't know if we'll join or not. Right now we're on the 1 month trial period.

Go figure that my fondest memories revolve around food. Will you get fruit from them Sandra? My yard is embarrassing. I'd like to hire you and Curtis as consultants!

Sandra, how are you doing without meetings? With Jenny Craig, I'll get a meeting one on one with a Counselor. I hear they're not very well trained but I'm keeping an open mind.

Hi Everyone
Sorry I didnt get back on here yesterday.
We did make it to my Aunts. Had trouble getting our car out of our driveway. But got it out. The roads were pretty good until we got on the road where she lives. There was a car over a little enbankment. So had to wait for them to pull it out. Then her driveway was pretty bad. But we didnt have any trouble. And had a great visit.
Then son took us out to eat. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and veggie soup. About the only thing on the menu that would be anywhere legal.
I did get on the gazelle a couple of times today. Just as the water ran in the washer on the extra size load. That is about all I can do at a time. So did it twice.
Got a question ladies. And maybe you can help me. Hubby got his blood work back. And his bad cholesterol is 197. How can we get that lower. The Dr is now talking about putting him on some other kind of meds along with what he is already on. So want to try and do it by diet. The rest of his results were good. Triglycerides and cholesterol were down. Still above where they should be. Cholesterol dropped 120 points and triglycerides around 800. So thought that was pretty good considering they holidays and all.
So if anyone has any ideas. Please let me know. I would appericate it.
Well I didnt realize I wrote a book. So better get off here.
I am thinking of each of you.
Have a wonderful night.

Good morning all.

coco, about cholesterol....here is my experience with it.

I always thought I ate healthy. My cholesterol was 240. My dr. put me on Lipitor. In 2007, I started having chest pains every evening for over a month. Thought it was heart burn but Tums didn't take it away. I went to my dr. and she sent me to see a cardiologist. Stress test, etc. I had a blocked artery (85% blocked) and had a stent placed. From that point on, I worked diligently to get my cholesterol where it needed to be. I've lost 40 lbs, and excercise most days. Still, my HDL, triglycerides and LDL were not where they needed to be. My dr. finally put me on Niaspan. I got my blood work done last Oct and finally, after more than a year, my numbers are good. I still want to get my HDL up a little higher. It's at 45, up from 32.
My dr. told me that my high cholesterol was mostly heriditary. My dad had heart disease, and my mom's dad died at 52 of a heart attack. I hate taking pills but if that's what it takes to keep me healthy, that's what I'll do. I also take 3000 mg. fish oil. That is suppose to help with the cholesterol. I know exercise is so important.

I'm going shopping today. It's suppose to get up to 60 today. The sun is shining.

Vicki, hope the treadmill went ok. I do mine almost every day. I get a good workout with it. Just start out slow.

Sandra, good job on the bike. I do the treadmill for 35 minutes, to get my 2 miles in. I've increased the incline and start at 2% and work my way up to 5%, during the first mile and decrease on the second mile. My speed is 3.5 mph, so it gets my heart pumping.

Maryann, I don't think I would have the strength to do your treadmill. I bet you get a really good workout.

Rhonda, my husband wouldn't have the patience either. I would have loved to be there and you have the wonderful memory.

Well, I need to get breakfast and shower for my shopping trip. Have a great day.

Good Morning Ladies:)

YIPEEE!!! The suns out,we're haven't seen it in days. Maybe Spring is around the corner,as the temps are bad either.

Had a coughing spell that woke me up and reached for Leos cough syrup with codeine instead of mine and now I feel like a zombie. The things you do,when not fully awake.

SANDRA-Thanks for the prayers. You garden must be beautiful.I hate gardening so I have my periwinkles running along the ground to keep the weeds at bay.Have agreat time at the club.

VICKIE-My Mom used to make her own preservatives, with goose & other berries. Used to love the smells when making them. I wouldn't even attempt to try making & bottling them.

You did great on the treadmill,:bravo: 15 mins is a long time.

COCO-I have no idea what to tell you about cholesterol.I had bad #'s with my blood test, the total,HDL were low my LDL were high along with my triglycerides. The doctor put me on two meds 10 years ago and now my cholesterol blood test is finally normal. Hope the other ladies can help.

RHONDA-Crowds of people used to be so different years ago,and security the same, now they have to watch for sorts of terrorism, now we have opened border we don't know who's coming into our country.

PAM-Wow You had some bout with your cholesterol. I think my parents had the high #'s also, but they doidn't check years ago when they were alive.

Have a great morning

Hi Everyone
Just a quick stop by.
Went and got new tires on the car this morn. So that is good. Have to get it inspected next month. And the tires wouldnt pass inspection. So now dont have to worry about that.
VICKIE Thats good on the treadmill. And thanks for the websites. I will have to check them out. Will do that tonight when there is nothing on TV and son is playing WII.
BEACHBUM They put hubby on Lopid. But they are also wanting to put him on something else. The Dr sent a prescription. But cant read her writing. Will take it to the drugstore and see what they say. The sun is out here too. But guess it is going to rain, turn to snow and get cooler again. Guess it is that time of year. Hope you get to feeling better.
PAM920 Thanks for your story. Hubby was on Lipator at one time. But he got to hurting really bad. So they had to take him off it. They also tried another. And same thing. He has trouble taking alot of meds. So hopefully we can get it under control with diet and exercise. But he has a hard time exercising. So we will see.
TEJAS They showed TV this more where alot of people were stuck in some kind of tunnel or something in DC. Is that where you were. I couldnt believe all the people that were in there.
Well ladies I need to get off here.
Got to get a few things done before time to start supper. Guess son will have to work tomorrow too.
Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful day.

Vickie, we should be getting fruit if all goes well. We bought large pecan trees that should be bearing in a year or so. The Bradford pear is ornamental/shade--no fruit there. But we do have other pear, peach, plum, and fig trees that should bear fruit eventually.

Us consultants? You are too sweet. We'd be dangerous if we knew what we were doing. We just dig and plant.

I'm doing all right w/o meetings so far. I have a gf on a private site who's sending me lesson materials from a course she has on working on the mental side of weightloss. That's helping. Other than that, I'm depending on all of you to help me stay motivated. Coming here is better than going to a meeting. I am making myself wi each Fri so I'm getting the accountability there. Speaking of which--I lost this week. I get recipes here and on other weightloss sites so I don't need meetings for that. I think I'm covered on all areas without going to the meeting.

But ya'll know how I am. If I decide to go to meetings, I'll swear that's the best way to lose. I'm fickle, I guess.

Vickie, :woohoo: on doing the :tread: and doing more than you'd been asked.

Rhonda, I envy you for going on the trip. Four years from now you'll be packing for another.

Coco, I'm glad you got to go visit your aunt. I remember how we used to get stir crazy from being snowed in when we lived in Montana.

Maryann, I never made preserves till I moved to Montana. It wasn't really very hard. They have "stuff" now that makes it easier than it was before. (If I can do it, anyone can.)

It's time for me to go move waterhoses. I'll catch you later.

Hi everyone. Sounds like everyone is doing well with eating and exercise this week! WOO HOO. I agree with you Sandra, this group is such a great support. I do enjoy my meetings, but I feel I get more support from you all here. Thanks for that!

I'm sitting here waiting for 5:00, I'm enjoying a Campbells Soup at Hand - tomato soup for a snack. I have to figure the points, I think its 2. Not too bad. Making sloppy Joes for dinner - I'll have mine on my Arnolds thin sandwich bread. If you have not tried it, look for it.They are big, but thin and only 1 point!

Vickie - 15 minutes is better than nothing. Its a start. Just keep at it and you'll be adding minutes before you know it. Just keep moving.

Rhonda - wow, what a story. I would never have had the patients for that. I hate, hate crowds. I'm glad you had the experience though. It was amazing to watch on TV.

Maryann, when will Leo get the results of the scan? Praying things are still clean. Thanks for pointing out the sun -- I have barely looked out the window today. I'm really sick of the snow - we have had snow cover since before Christmas! The poor deer are hungry - tons of tracks in the yard and they are starting to dig at my bushes with leaves. How are things on the Cape?

Pam, after reading your story about chlorestoral, I'm thankful to God I'm naturally low - always seem to be around 110 or so. I'm gald your controlling things now. And -- 60! remind me what thats like?????

Hi Coco!

Well, got to run. BBL

Sandra, you sound like you are on the straight and narrow! Good girl. I'm doing ok too.

I had no sleep last night and I'm baking two desserts for my company tomorrow. I ate a couple of pecans but didn't lick the chocolate frosting spoon. PROGRESS!

Hi Everyone
Just thought I would get back on here. See what was going on. And just to have some me time. Son is taking a nap. And hubby is taking a shower and then he will fall to sleep. So thought I would get on here. And no one would bother me.
BLESSEDWITHSARAH I will have to look for the Arnolds bread. Someone in our meeting said they had got it. And it was good. Have to find out what store they got it at.
VICKIE CONGRATS on not eating the frosting. I know that would be so hard. Proud of you.
ONTARGET I wish I could go without the WW meeting. But I need the accountablility of weighing in. It seems to help me. There for awhile it wasnt. But I am really trying to get back on track. So I need it now. My parents have apple, peach, and cherry trees. I like to freeze some peaches for the winter. Mighty tasty. They also have some blueberries.
Well I am going to get off here.
May go check out the sites Vickie told me about.
Have a great evening.

Vickie, that is impressive not licking the frosting. I ended today with over 30 points. Not a good start to the new week. Tomorrow I'll do better. Enjoy your company.

Coco, I may be saying the same thing in a few weeks, but so far so good with the online stuff. I saw some blueberry plants for sale at Lowe's. They don't grow well here. I don't understand why they're trying to sell them.

Hi All:

Here is one of the stories about the mess in Washington. I was at 1st and D, which is mentioned. Huffington Post has another article about the "purple tunnel" mess. We decided that we were not going to the tunnel because my niece said it made no sense to go there in terms of the maps. I'm so glad we didn't go there. To be that packed together and in a tunnel would have been even worse.

I gained a pound last week, but I think it will go away quickly. I didn't have much control over what was available to eat while I was on my short trip. But, it's not taking long to get back on the wagon. But, I'm just not getting the :exercise: I have promised to do.

I had a major breakthrough at work today about a problem that has been with us for almost a year. I hope that solving that will remove a big burden off my shoulders and that I'll get more focus on my own sweet self!

A very good friend of mine has just told me that she has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. She is in her mid-40's and has a young family. I'm heartbroken, as you can imagine. I'm having a serious "what's it all about" time right now.

Looks like it going to rain or something.Hope it not going to be another stay home weekend. I getting cabin fever.

COCO-I'm on Lescol for my cholesterol and Tricor for the triglycerides.Even if my #'s are low,I have to stay on my meds for life,as my liver is not functioning correctly.Hope that your DH #'s will be back to normal shortly.

SANDRA-CONGRATS:carrot: on your weight loss. I don't miss the meeting as much as I miss the new friends that i made there. But I can't see paying for sometime that you can get online. Thanks:thanks: for the confidence in me ,but You know the old saying "you can't teach a old dog new tricks". That applies:yes: to me, as I wouldn't know where to start. I 'm so afraid :fr: that I would contaminate the bottles with botulism. Even if they have new ways of doing it,I rather not try.

PAULA-Thanks,:thanks:we both feel like & hope the cancer is gone for good. He doesn't feel that fatigued :tired: anymore so that's a good sign.Hope & pray we get the answer on Tuesday. I tried of the snow :snowglo:myself, have been housebound for now 4 weekends in a row, would love:love: to be with my friends again for our usual Sunday Brunch. Looks like we're going to have storm:rain: or something coming in,its very dark & dingy this morning.

RHONDA-Sorry:sorry: about you pound, but that will go away soon as it is just water retention or fatigue:tired: with all the traveling you've done.OMG !!! :hug:I'm so sorry about your friend, and being so young.SENDING PRAYERS HER WAY.WE NEED A MIRACLE HERE,hope its still possible that she can be treated.

Yes, we need a miracle. There is research that says that even people who do not believe in prayer, who do not even know they are being prayed for, do better. She mentioned this to me: so add her to your prayers. I don't want to put her name on an open board. Most people don't know about it yet.

The treatment will be to give her time, hopefully.

I'm making an egg, green chili and cottage cheese casserole for our brunch, then I'm going with some friends to see Slumdog Millionaire, followed by an early dinner. DH is staying home. He says that it's too cold to go out. He's right: it's 5 F out there!

Have a great OP day everyone.

HI
Well it is cooler here today. 26 degrees and then the temp is suppose to start dropping. Had a few snow flurries earlier. Have a dusting.
Well had been on here trying to find a filter for my sweeper. Guess I will have to call drit devil. Said they couldnt find my model#. I need a new hepa filter. I have had the sweeper probably around 5 years or more. And have never changed the filter. So it really need is now.
TEJAS I am so sorry about your friend. You and her and her family are in my prayers.
BEACHBUM When hubby was on lipator his liver counts tripled and he hurt really bad. So they said he couldnt take that anymore. I cant read what the Dr is prescribing now. But will take it to our drugstore and see what it is. The sites Vickie sent me were really helpful and interesting.
VICKIE how are you doing.
ONTARGET Are you doing any gardening today. Hope you are having a wonderful day.
Well I am going to get off here.
Thinking of everyone.

Rhonda, that's so sad about your friend. I will say some prayers for her.

Coco, it's cooler here today, too. We need rain and are due to get some early next week. No gardening today. It was cold and windy. I am watching some morning glories grow (from seeds) right here in the livingroom. Curtis said, "You can almost see them grow." He's right. Those little boogers are shooting up fast.

I haven't tried either of those products.

Hi Ladies:)

Got to bed late last night and had a hard time getting up and ready for church.Than my friends & I went to for our favorite brunch place. Had French toast with bacon and 1 c decaf coffee with H&H,all totaling to 9pts.I see now that it wasn't core friendly.

Hope it doesn't effect me on the scale at tomorrow's W-I.

RHONDA-She on my prayer list and I did pray for her last night. Of course I understand about putting her name on the board. The Lord know who I'm praying for.Hopefully the treatment will work for her. We go tomorrow to see what the petscan read,so I won't be on the board until the afternoon. Hope you had a great time with your friends.

COCO-Lipitor didn't help me at all ,some how my totals still were high after taking it. Now that my doctor switched me to Lescor & Tricor my Numbers of down. No I never tried chocolate PB2.Whats is it???? some like Nutella???[the hazelnut spread] I use Teddies Natural PB.

PAULA-I'm really skeptical trying any new PB now that we have the PB scare with PB products.called salmonella contamination.

Have a great afternoon I going to watch the Bob Hope golf tournament, see you gals later.

Hi
BEACHBUM I hope the DR appt goes well tomorrow. You guys are and will be in my prayers. The peanut butter I was asking about. It is a powder. And I guess all you do is add water. Comes in chocolate and regular flavors.
BLESSEDWITHSARAH I havent tried the peanut butter. Where do you find it. Guess the one I am asking about. You can only get it from the internet. The other day on here they had a ad. I have a e-mail address for it. But dont know if I would be allowed to post it.
ONTARGET hope you get your rain. We are at 21 degrees and some very fine snow right now.
Well I am not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow night. I have had a hard week. I have and want to eat everything in sight. But I have to get back in control.
I would like to lose 10 to 15 lbs between now and the middle of March. But at this rate. That will not happen.
Well I will get off here for now.
Guess we are going to go to bother-in-law.
I hope everyone is having a great Sunday.
Thinking of everyone.

Maryann, I hope all goes well at the doctor's. Your brunch sounds good. I had a high point bfast today, too, but that's all right. I ended the day just using 4 WAP's.

Coco, we're due for rain the next 2 days. I hope we get it.

I shot again today and did much much better than yesterday. I think I've identified my problem so now I can work on making corrections. Life is good.

Have a great op Sunday evening, everyone.
