Default Newbie to board

I really like what I have read on this board so far and so I thought I would like to be a part of it also. I have 100+ pounds to loose and am going to need any help I can get. I read on one of the messages a quote.."I can't lose 100 lbs., but I can loose 5 lbs. 20 times! Boy was that an encouragement!! I am going to have to focus on small goals instead of looking at the whole thing. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with this. I am going to be 50 yrs. old this coming year and I don't want to be at this weight also. I want to get healthy and feel good about myself. It has been a long time since I felt that way. There is alot of good posts on this message board and I know it will be a great help to me. I am not real good on the computer, but I am going to try to check out all that I can. Thanks for listening to me and I will be keeping in touch on a regular basis.

I focus on each decade of weight, it helps to keep from getting overwhelmed. Right now I'm focused on getting out of the seventies and into the sixties. It's amazing when you look back over a year how fast it actually goes. I'm glad you are here! You can do it!

Hi and good luck! You've got the right attitude..take it 5lbs at a time. I've found it comes off faster if I'm not focusing on the big goal but on the little goals I've set for myself. Hope to see you around!
