Default New to 3 fat chicks...

I am new to dieting, never having had to do it before. I would like to know some meal plan ideas from you guys. Any help you can give me I would really appreciate. Thank you in advance.

Hi sara, welcome to 3FC! I hope you get as much motivation from this site as I have. Come on over to the "buddy up" forum and introduce yourself to us and get a buddy or too. It works best that way. How much weight do you need to lose? Well for any amount I wish you the best of luck on your journey.

It does not have to be as hard as you think. Eat lots of veggies and keep the meat and potatoes to a minumum, which does not mean give them up entirly. Also get into an excercise routine. Pick something you enjoy so you will do it more. Look around. You can read about every kind of diet there is right here and then decide what you like best. Don't be afraid to join a thread and ask questions. We are here to help each other. If you don't see a thread about something you are interested in check out the Scams section. i'm on an exchange type program

for 1400 cals. I'm allowed 5-6 1oz servings of meat, 6-7 breads or starches, 15gr. cabs = 1 serv, 3-4 veggies, 1/2c cooked or 1 cup fresh, 3-4 fruits, 1/2c. canned,fresh, or juice, 2-3 1c. milk serv, and 3-4 fats, 1 serv fat=5gr.

not limited to kinds of foods as long as they are within exchange limits.

hope this helps, it has for me, along with exercises 5x weekly

I've lost a total of 331/2lbs since nov 2001 and have about 20lbs to go

hi....you will really like it here wonderful site and check out the recipes.......lots of advice here and support and check out the diet plans that people are using you will find what works for you.......i just went to fitday.com its a free website with a calorie counter with your fat and carb and protein count has well.....log your exercise etc......did the dietwatch.com liked that but had to pay monthly and this is free......best of luck to ya....sue
