Default Aaargh! Craving my kids' dinner!

The kids dinner tonight is a very simple.. sausages wrapped in bread with tomato sauce.... and the smell has gone through my entire house and is driving me nuts!

I love sausages served this simply! As usual, my kids haven't eaten everything, so there are some left over!

I'm going to quickly go put them in the bin so I don't cave.....

Oh, that's ALWAYS so tough!!!!

When my boyfriend is eating something that I KNOW I shouldn't (or I don't have enough calories to eat it!!), and he has leftovers, I always put a sticky note (or tape) with his name on it, so this is DEFINITELY his food!!!

Good luck!!! Evening/late night cravings are the worst!!

UGH! I so feel that one myself! Hang tough during these times! There are days I feel like I should just go to bed and wait for tomorrow to come because the cravings are so bad. I don't understand cravings at all. Maybe if I did I'd have an easier time facing / dealing with them!

Let us know the outcome and good luck friend!!

Take care,
Jennifer

I dont make a seperate meal for my DS, he just eats what I eat. Its healthier for him and I am less apt to snack on it if I have already had it!

There are definitely times that I have this issue but it is more with DH who likes to eat "fourth meal" - thank you Taco Bell for coining that phrase. He eats a huge snack or a whole entire other meal around 8-9pm. He's pretty thin, so it doesn't hurt him but it hurts me! He made a frozen pizza the other night and I was DYING!

As for my kids, they get what I make and on occasion I will make something less healthy and just eat my own thing. My kids are weirdos though - they like vegetables and fruits and will mostly try anything. I don't know where they got that genetically because I was the pickiest eater ever as a kid!

I couldn't do it. We all eat the same meals in this house... I calorie count so I have everything I just watch/measure my portions. Much easier on everyone!

Sometimes I am so hungry I cannot control just a few bites, licks and tastes-- but they get logged into the calorie counter and I adjust accordingly (that's if I'm doing my very best to stay onplan )

Couldn't you make the same meal for everyone? It would certainly be healthier for all involved.

Good for you! You have done the right thing to just throw them straight away, thats showing willpower. If you just keep this up im sure you will succeed. Good luck
