I know YMMV (Your mileage may vary) on the exact timeframe involved...
In the face of how much I have to loose, I didn't expect much to happen this far in. Some people tell me I look better, but I don't see it and I think sometimes they're just trying to flatter and encourage me. But, one difference I can't deny. Even if I can't see any changes...
Jeans that used to be loose I can now take off without unbuttoning. Jeans that used to fit are now as loose as the previous ones used to be. And Jeans that were too tight and sitting in the "donate to goodwill" pile now fit!
I just wanted to share that encouragement. That coming from someone with a sometimes overwhelming and discouraging 100 lbs to go (and I know many of you can relate)... that you may feel some concrete success so soon.
Congrats that is a great start. Keep up the good work and even though I am sure that you won't always lose that quickly, it's a great boost to get started with a bang!
Yeah, I think it is starting to slow down now... but it's a good motivator since I can't see myself looking any better yet. And.. scale numbers seem kinda abstract and don't relate to how I feel. I like success that I can experience the changes. I didn't expect anything for quite some time, so this was a pleasant surprise.
I would also suggest measuring different parts of your body and keeping a log. Especially for those weeks where you may not lose any weight, but you are getting smaller. It helps keep you motivated!
It's nice when we have a big loss for the first little bit. It gives a huge burst of encouragement. Good for you! Keep up the great work and you'll keep losing ounce by ounce!
When I started this I knew that I needed to lose 100 pounds. I still have a way to go. One thing I said to the trainer was don't say 100 pounds. You need those little mini-goals.
I wanted to fit into my jeans. Just the biggest ones I had. I was on the verge of needing to buy a new bigger size. I could get my arms around that goal where 100 pounds was just too much.
