I would be wary of having a set day to weigh yourself. Scales will just weigh what is on them, not taking into account water weight, if its that special time of the month, things like that. I used to weigh myself every sunday, until one time I decided to weigh myself again the next day and I had magically dropped two pounds. They are just machines, they don't have a concept of 'weeks or months. It's really hard if you think your doing good and then at your weekly weigh in are up 2 lbs, especially if that's caused to water weight that's going to go away in the next couple days.
If your able to, try to just weigh yourself randomly. I like to weigh myself every 3-4 days. That way I can keep track of how I'm doing but not freak out if I'm up or anything because it's not like "omg that whole week has gone to waist!"
(get it? waist? Oh, I'm so clever...)
