Default I have come to a decision...

I am not going to weigh myself for one full month.

Today I stepped on the scale and I weighed 146.6 Which is up from the 144 I weighed on friday.

I know logically, with what I ate on Saturday and Sunday, I could not have possibly gained more than 2 and a half pounds this weekend. I didn't binge, I ate on plan. I know I'm retaining water from not being properly hydrated while working out. But it STILL bothered me wayyyy more than it should have.

This whole scale love/hate relationship isn't doing me any good. I'm going to use a measuring tape to track my weighloss instead. On November 1st, I will weigh myself.

Just had to get that out somewhere so that it was more official.

I think that is a great idea. The scale really is such a liar sometimes.

Yeah, sometimes my scale confuses the heck out of me. It has a mind of it's own. Maybe once a month will work better for you. Let us know how it goes!

Congrats for trying what you think will work for you. I know monthly weighing works really well for many people and has much to recommend it.

I would be wary of having a set day to weigh yourself. Scales will just weigh what is on them, not taking into account water weight, if its that special time of the month, things like that. I used to weigh myself every sunday, until one time I decided to weigh myself again the next day and I had magically dropped two pounds. They are just machines, they don't have a concept of 'weeks or months. It's really hard if you think your doing good and then at your weekly weigh in are up 2 lbs, especially if that's caused to water weight that's going to go away in the next couple days.

If your able to, try to just weigh yourself randomly. I like to weigh myself every 3-4 days. That way I can keep track of how I'm doing but not freak out if I'm up or anything because it's not like "omg that whole week has gone to waist!"

(get it? waist? Oh, I'm so clever...)

Sounds like an interesting theory. I'd never have the willpower not to peek, though.

I never know when to weigh and I had just decided to weigh weekly. So if it doesn't go well, I will try monthly.
