What movie/s will you watch every time they're on?
The other night Office Space was on. I've seen that movie a million times, yet every time it's on I watch it. I started thinking about it, I do the same with:
Dirty Dancing
When a Man Loves a Woman
The American President
Napoleon Dynamite
50 First Dates
Bridges of Madison County
I generally watch action movies. I will watch things like the Terminator, the Matrix, Austin Powers, like that. I also admit to enjoying the PeeWee Herman movies because they are so silly. I like the Scary Movie series but really dislike slasher films. SciFi movies are a favourite. Basically I like movies with lots of effects and things blowing up.
There are so few movies on tv anymore, free ones anyway, that I don't watch them on tv much anymore. I have a number of DVDs to look at if I want to watch movies.
oh- other people besides me do this?! I have a couple- Dazed and Confused, Can't Hardly Wait, 10 things I hate about you - apparently I love me a good teen movie!
Lizzie, 90's teen romantic comedies = life. I'm with you on Can't Hardly Wait and 10 Things I Hate About You. Also, Mean Girls. I have seen it SO many times, but will watch it whenever it's on.
Oh man I have a lot! Top Gun, Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Cocktail, Breakfast Club, St. Elmo's Fire.. quite a few 80s movies to be honest.
Also, 10 Things I Hate About You, A Knight's Tale, Good Will Hunting, With Honors.. and I could go on and on. But, funny enough, I don't really watch much TV anymore :P
Because I said so (looooove the lead musician guy in that movie. Yum)
Dirty Dancing
Stick it
Center Stage
80's movies (pretty in pink, flashdance, breakfast club)....
Actually, I own a lot of those movies....but I still watch them when they come on TV.
There are a ton of movies I will watch whenever they're on ... just because they're good "noise" when the house is empty. A lot of times if I'm flipping channels or something, I'll stop on one and half-watch.
But movies that I'll specifically look for and change the channel just to watch them are pretty few and far between. Mostly because my favorite movies need to be seen in widescreen and NOT edited for television.
However, if they are on and I happen to flip to them, I'll generally stay for:
Last of the Mohicans
Brazil (although the edited for TV version really sucks)
anything by the Coen Bros
anything with Jimmy Stewart
anything with Audrey Hepburn
any early John Hughes (up until the original Home Alone - after that, nah)
The Blues Brothers
Ghostbusters
I'm sure there are others ... but those are off the top of my head.
Ever After, Wyatt Earp, Gone With the Wind, anything monty Python, Three Men and a Baby...all old school cartoon movies (Care Bears Adventure in Wonderland, Snoopy Come Home, The last Unicorn, ect)
