Default Two words: BACON SALT

Ok WHERE have I been???? Do any of you know about this? Have you tried it???

I LOOOOOOVE Bacon...if this is like bacon, I could actually leap out of my chair right now and go to the store to buy some...but I guess I will wait till after work!

Now, I have not TRIED this personally, just heard about it for the first time an hour ago, but I felt it was too brilliant to keep to myself, and I will be picking some up immediately!!!

Seems to be available at a lot of stores! Bacon Salt

And then, the first thought that I had after learning of this product was "oooh, popcorn" and viola--check out the bacon salt blog link. I will be trying it minus the butter.

Can't vouch for any health benefits whatsoever, but IF it's good, its gotta be at least a smidge better than eating piles of bacon...that's my theory anyway!

I'll report back...can you tell I am just a wee bit enthusiastic about this idea? And just think what veggies would be like...ooooh

edit:decided I would not link to the page that had tempting photos of, well, non-diet friendly stuff don't want to tempt anyone (food porn and all )

Hmmmmm.... I might get some of this for DH. He was saying how much he loved bacon tonight, and we are trying to move away from mass produced meat stuff. Might be fun!

I looked at the Nutrition Facts for them...
For 1/4 tsp, it's 0 cal, 0 fat, 150 mg (6%) sodium. =)

It actually has less sodium than regular table salt.

Default WELL....if it seems too good to be true...

WELL....if it seems too good to be true... it might be.

As with most artificial stuff, there IS artificial stuff in it! Guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I was really hoping....

DH, the sweetest man in the world, picked up some for me tonight since I was working late.

MSG...for one. It DOES taste very like bacon in a super concentrated form, which you would need for flavoring stuff so the bacony flavor comes thru. I will use it some, but I don't think I will make it a part of my daily diet. Still, if you have no qualms about it...there it is...
