...Do you weigh yourself in your clothes or without them? This is NOT meant to be a creepy question, I swear it's not! Just wondering how at-home-ers do it.
I have been weighing IN my clothes rather than before my shower or something, because I started out by going to a meeting, then a second weigh-in. I figured, if I ever go back to another meeting, I'll be in my clothes. If I'm at a doctor's office, I'll be in my clothes. So I want to see that I'm losing, even if I'm dressed, lol.
I also weigh in after the bathroom and before the shower in my birthday suit. Some mornings it is interesting as my scale has been moved to the kitchen and I don't always remember to close the curtains before I strip down. I am sure my neighbors love me!
Well since I weigh at work, I kind of NEED to be clothed. Lol. But I have the same mentality. At the doctor's office: clothed. At WW: was clothed. So I figure I shouldn't change that. But that's just me.
I weigh every morning naked and write down the weight (well, that's the goal. I've been lazy about this, and am starting it up again). I weigh twice on Monday, as I weigh Monday nights at my TOPS meeting (clothed, of course). Only my Monday night weigh-in "counts." This really helped me understand normal weight fluctuations and get less crazy about minor fluctuations.
Many mornings I would weigh naked, and then weigh with my clothes to find out how much my clothes weigh. Unless I have heavy jeans on, I've learned that my clothes weigh about 2 to 2.5 lbs.
I know it sounds obsessive, but it's actually let me be less obsessed.
I'm curious, too. My mom always told me that the weight would be higher after a shower, because of the water retained in your hair.
I've tried the with clothes/without clothes, and there usually are a couple lbs difference between the two. But I've never kept a kind of record about it to see.
I do try to weigh myself in the same outfit each day, though. I thought it was interesting when I read somewhere that at some meetings the members will wear the same "weigh-in" outfit each week.
