S/C/G: 197/135/?

Height: 5'7"

Default Down to "Overweight" :-)

My first 2 weeks are off to a great start, down 8 pounds! 198 to 190. Mainly following the whole foods approach and eating less, and added yoga everyday (hard work so far! I'm in terrible shape) the second week. I don't expect it to be this fast after this, but I do seem to have faster weight loss the first couple weeks. But it's still fun.

But it was just enough to bring my BMI under 30 and into the "Overweight" instead of the "Obese" category. Yay!

And my waist went from over 37 inches to 35.5. I'm kinda expecting the waist measurement to go down fast at first, because it seems like the the weight gained from 180ish to my high of 198 went mostly into a "belly hang." My belly was plenty round and big before, but it was only at the higher weight that I developed the part that hangs over and down. Here's hoping I lose it when I'm back to 180ish :-)

Next mini-goal? Well, 10# lost of course (why do we fixate on 10#?). Only 2 more pounds, but I'm gonna figure on 2 weeks anyway, just to keep the pressure off (don't know if 190 this morning will fluctuate back up). Oh, and at the same time to get my waist below 35 inches to go with my BMI under 30.

Getting support here everyday, whether directly in response to me, or just reading posts and posting my daily eating record, helps so much - thanks everyone!
