Simply Filling and Core Recipes - Core Mac & Cheese?

I have a serious craving for my mom's old fashioned macaroni & cheese... You know, the kind with the buttered breadcrumbs on top and baked in the oven.
Does anyone have any recipes for something similar that's core (or close)?
