Default Does jumping through hoops count as exercise?

I had my first appt. with the surgeon's office on Tues. (my 25th wedding anniv, BTW) Saw a PA, a nut., a psych, took a psych. test, and had a very brief discussion about insurance.

So now I have to schedule a sleep test, a heart test (already have one schedule but have to add a stress test or something and I think one or two other things.)
Oh yeah, gotta do behav. mod. I made the mistake of telling the psych I've been pondering what I'm going to do instead of comfort eating. Guess I'll spend spring break at drs. offices. Once I find them. Which means I'll be spending work breaks on the phone. Hoops and hoops.

I'm feeling overwhelmed here with other things -gotta get another car with very little $$, my hubby's job change, the 3rd in a year, difficulties at work...

I know everybody has issues, but I'm tired! 'nuf whining-I'm going to bed.

The process is not easy thats for sure....but its a good way of weeding out people who are not serious about it. My doctor told me he did a lap band on a patient and a few months later the patient wanted it out b/c she couldn't eat a certain food ???? Oy Vey !!!!

Take a deep breath, relax and remember this is for you.

terry - trust me - our hearts are with you! it's HARD!!!! and add in the everyday stresses that come and go in our lives, and sometimes we feel like there's no point in getting out of bed.

one strategy i've learned is to separate the money issues from the emotional ones. bottom line, somehow or other, we figure out the money stuff - like the car. not saying it'll be easy, but it's more about problem solving than about emotions. but the EMOTIONAL stuff - oh dear. your psych is actually doing you a favor by picking up on this. and appreciates your honesty. any work you do NOW on this issue will make everything else much more MANAGEABLE later [notice i didn't say EASIER - just more manageable]

hang in there, darlin!

Hoop Jumping should be an Olympic class sport! The gold metal of course being the privilege of having your life back!

So your score for the first 4 hoops of your routine I give you a...

10.0
