Default I've decided to start WW (Flex)

Hi all,

I had been throwing around the idea of WW for a couple weeks when I first heard they were doing a program at work. I actually decided against doing the at work program but I will be doing it online. Even though there is tons of information available online, I also ordered the materials so I could have hard copies of some of the information.

This week I've been doing a 7 day trial on WW online and I am impressed. I believe in eating whole foods so I guess you would say I was eating similar to the Core plan but I was having trouble with those little extras. On the first day, I had used all my points and out of boredom I went to grab a snack. I realized that I wasn't hungry and I was out of points so there was no reason to eat. Anyway, I really like points although most of my foods tend to fall under the Core category.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to everyone

Hi Nelie,

Glad to hear your jumping on the WW wagon. I'm on flex for the second time and I enjoy it very much. I can't do core because I'm not a fruit and veggie gal. And I try to make sure I have points left in the evening since I know I will want a little snack.=0)

And the website is always useful!!

Good luck!!!

Default WW Flex

Congrats on taking the WW plunge. I have been following flex plan since June and have lost 36 pounds. The last 2 pounds to my goal are pretty slow but I LOVE WW. I like being able to eat and cook whatever I want and just be accountable. My only advice is to really honestly write down every bite you take and be accountable. I have only missed a couple of meetings since June, so I am a big believer in going to the meetings. You just have to find a leader that you connect with (ask around for the best ones). I love my leader and the way she conducts the meetings. They are all different and if you don't click with one, you just have to try another. I think the meetings and weighing in weekly have been huge in my success. You find out all sorts of incredible hints for cooking and coping. I do like the on line tools for figuring out points of your own recipes and streamlining them. Good luck! I never do these blogs but just wanted to share.

Yeah, I was on WW about 4 years ago, and I lose 30 pounds. Then I gained it back once in about 5 months once I stopped keeping track of what I was eating. Now, I have decided to start it again. I really like it because I think it really teaches a healthy lifestyle, and not just a diet. It teaches portions and balance to what you eat everyday. For example, you can eat a piece of cake, as long as your eating healthy the rest of the day.

Good luck!
Hopefully my pounds will start dropping soon. I need to get a scale! =)

Welcome, Nelie, good for you! I love WW, too. It's a great program if you work it (I lapse off and on, but am ON now) Best of luck to you!

Hey Nelie ^^ Welcome to WW

May you have much success with it! I don't only use the core foods, but as time goes on I try to focus more & more on the core foods while using points to control portion sizes. Plenty of people do Flex with Core foods focus!

Keep us updated!

Nelie, I don't have to tell you how happy I am that you're trying WW. I think you'll like it as a long term way of life.

Hi Nelie, congrats on deciding to start WW! Looks like a lot of people are like you (including me) in that Core foods are good to emphasize but the ...er... flexibility of flex is what keeps us here Good luck and hope to see you 'round!

Hi Nelie

I'm eating mostly Core and counting points for portion control. I have far fewer cravings when eating from the Core list, and that's a good thing! Good luck to you.

Default Starting back a WW

I am going to start back at WW this week. I lost 24lbs about 6 months ago and have gained about 1/2 of it back. I thought it best to get back on track before things go too out of control.

Hope you don't mind if I jump in on this thread with you girls
