Default Made it to my first big goal!

I am so excited because I have finally made it to my first big goal. I started on my weight loss journey on April 16, 2007 at 187 pounds. I set a goal of 140 pounds on that day and I stuck with that number in my head for all of these months. Well, my weigh in this morning came in at 140.4!!! I can't believe I actually made it to 140. I was struggling from October through the end of December going from 146 to 150 and just couldn't get past those numbers, but I recommitted myself at the turn of the new year and those last 5-6 pounds just came right off. It feels so great to finally accomplish something and see something through. It was really hard and sometimes seemed not worth it, but I know now that it was worth all of the hard work. And, an extra bonus, I bought my first pair of size 8 jeans yesterday! I bought size 10 jeans right before Christmas and they were already getting big, so I tried on a size 8 and they fit! I honestly cannot remember the last time I wore a single digit pant - come to think of it, I can never remember wearing a single digit pant, even in middle school.

I'm not stopping at 140 - 140 was my first big goal, and I've set another goal for 130 for my wedding date of October 12, 2008 (I think I can do it!) I'm very short, (5 feet nothing) so I still have some chub around my tummy and legs and such at 140, but I'm just going to take it 10 pounds at a time. I'm starting to see the effects of exercising, so I'm hoping that by the time I get to 130 I'll look a little more toned, especially on the mid section. I feel like as hard as it was to drop 47 pounds to get to 140, these 10 pounds shouldn't be too hard - I'll just keep chugging along!

Thanks for reading! I'm just so excited I had to share my story! Everyone on 3FC is such an inspiration and has made this process so much easier!!
