Well I am just now after a few months I am putting a real picture as my avatar and let me just tell you that picture was one of my Oh Crap I Cant Believe I Look Like That Moments. Sometimes I can walk our of the house and feel like I am looking pretty good, and then a picture of me is taken and I realize that you cant deny what you look like when you have pictures as evidence. But I am feeling really good today and im proud to have that real picture of me up because I think you cant change what you dont ignolege. Today I guess I am really and truly ignoleging that there is something that has to change in my life. I of course want to look better but I more importantly want to feel good again. I just wanted to share that and Im going to start to make a change right now.
Oh I do know how you feel! I will be walking around here like a queen feeling all hot and good, then I see myself in the HUGE wall size mirror we have hanging in living room. Yup here goes the air in my balloon.
I can relate ... I sometimes go through a slight form of denial ... when my self image becomes tainted - "It's not even that bad" ... until a full picture is taken of me ! We all have various means of motivation ... I respect yours ... best of luck to you Chica!!!
It is a sweet picture, but I know how you feel. My boyfriend has a bad habit of taking pictures of my from behind, and it is always a shock. But don't worry, you will be looking the way you want to look in no time!
Thank you all, You know it is sad because i never ever thought of this even being a good picture because all I notice is the negative things about me but looking at in now it is a very sweet picture. Thanks for making me take notice.
I agree I think the photo is really nice. However I too have had moments when I realize, "holy $hit, do I really look like that??" I try and take these opportunities to pump myself back up and say "yes maybe I do right now, but not for much longer"
