Default Favorite 0 Points Foods?

What are everyone's favorite 0 points per serving foods? I like pickles and will also eat a small orange when I would like a snack. Anyone else?

Default Peaches!

I love peaches! And 1 is 0 points! Also, if I am really hungry to fool my stomach I make chicken stock and throw in some broccoli and a few carrots and drink a cup of that! It takes care of my hunger and it tastes great!

My book says that a large peach is 1 point. Even if it were a small peach, I would at least count it as a half point. Your soup sounds good though. Have you ever made the Garden Vegetable one that is in the week 1 book? I used to make it a lot, but without the cabbage. Now I just use broth and throw in whatever 0 point veggies I want

Default No, I haven't

No, I haven't tried that soup but it sure sounds delicious! And you are right when counting peaches as 0 points they need to be very small!

Even though 1-3/4 cups of strawberries is 1 point, just 1 cup is zero points!

I'm not a fan of cabbage but I love this soup. So I swap the cabbage for spinach... Yum.

When I need a snack that's 0 points but I'm out of the soup I reach for a small can of V8 or cucumber with black pepper. Pickles are a godsend!

Default guick veggie soup puree

I take 1 quart of low fat, no or low sodium chicken broth. Add 1 large bag of broccili, caulflauer or mixed veggies and boil till soft. Then take a hand immersion blender and blend until pureed. You could use a food processor or blender but the hand blender is so easy to clean. I put in tupperware and then when I'm hungry I get a cup of that put in microwave for 1 minute and drink it. I actually have started having one first thing in the morning before coffee. It gives me a head start on veggie servings.
