I am going to summer school, about an hour commute from my house. My friend and I take turns driving each week. Today was her day to drive, and it was also the day of our final test..
About 25 miles into our trip, it starts raining real hard. She slows down to get out of the fast lane of the interstate, and loses control of the car. We go spinning into the median of grass towards the oncoming lanes of traffic, but the car shuts off and we come to a stop in the mixture of grass and gumbo mud. This could have been so much worse. This particular median is lined with trees most of the trip, and we just happened to hydroplane in one of the few spots with no trees. We are usually in the right lane, and if we had lost control there we would have gone careening down a steep hill into trees. We didn't hit anybody either, which is another blessing. AND we get another day to study for the test LOL.
So after be both stopped shaking, we had a good laugh about it and talked about how blessed we were. We finally got someone to come tow us out of the gumbo mud. The car was unharmed, so we slowly made our way back home. When we got back home, I hit up the Taco Bell. If today wasn't a day to enjoy the blessings I have been given and enjoy life, I don't know what is
