Default Weekly Exercise Thread June 18-24

Yesterday for my birthday I treated my mom & my little cousin to a swim @ my gym (guest passes). I swam for A WHOLE HOUR. I am so sore today. But it was worth it!!

Monday: Swam 1 hour

Tuesday: 15 min walk
another 15 minute walk!!

Wednesday: 15 min walk
another 15 min walk!! :run:

Thursday: 15 min walk
another 15 min walk


Also I am going to the PKD Foundation's Annual Conference in Orlando tomorrow, so my exercise will be schlepping through both airports & trying not to fall asleep in the sessions. (I worked a 10 hour day Tuesday, a 15 hour day yesterday & another 12 today. )

Saturday I am going to try & get a swim in.

Sunday is more schlepping through airports.

yesterday I used the Elliptical for 26 minutes, did weights( free weights) for 17 minutes, and did general exercises for 14. Then I had to take the bus to pay bills, I took the bus one way and walked back for 35 minutes or so, don't know if it did me any good, because I felt like **** last night, am feeling slightly better today.
Today I did the Elliptical for 29 minutes, weights for 17 and general exercises for 14 minutes, and this should be the plan until Friday.

I must confess...I didn't get to the gym tonight. It was so hot, I was really worried about my dogs who were at home in their crates. (They were ok, hot, but ok). The good news is, I didn't want to skip a workout completely, so I did my youga dvd. Phew, I totally feel it everywhere! I'll step up the cardio tomorow, too.

Monday: None...Cheerleading and Scouts until 9pm.
Tuesday: Walked the dog, 30 minutes

I discovered there are treadmills at work with tv screens right in front of a window on an empty floor. I knew they were there but I didn't know they were so nice. So, I only had 15 mins but tried one out. Then instead of the elevator, I took the 5 flights down each time I went downstairs. My legs are sore, who knew going down 15 flights would hurt muscles!

Lets see on Monday and Tuesday I did the same thing, and will do the same thing tonight...

15 Mins on Elliptical, then a mix of some free weights and machines for the next 40 mins or so....and then a cool down on a bike for a few mins...
This is my 2nd week, so hopefully Friday the scale will be in my favor...

Monday and Tuesday I didn't do anything except for walk to the store. But today I popped in a TaeBo Dvd and did half of it. I would have done the whole thing if it hadn't messed up and skipped to the ending :P

Not a good night for me. It rained and was too wet to walk my dog. And instead of doing a dvd workout, I watched a movie with my kids. I enjoyed the family time, and the rest....but feel bad about not exercising. I'll be back on track tomorrow!

Friday I did the WATP DVD I got from Netflix! 30 minutes..and it was rough :P Going to walk my dog in a bit right now, as soon as I get dressed and finish my oatmeal!

I mowed my lawn today, 30 minutes of pushing a mower. Then I sprayed roundup all around the house, fence and trees for another 30 minutes. (I was outside for an hour)
I also did The Firm Cardio Sculpt, 55 minutes.

Since I've been out of town all week, I couldn't post my exercise, so I'll catch up here! I'm proud of myself for keeping up with my running schedule while at my mom's!

Sun, 6/17 - 6 mile run
Mon, 6/18 - 3.1 mile run
Tues, 6/19 - 4 mile run
Wed, 6/20 - 5 mile run
Thurs, 6/21 - rest
Fri, 6/22 - 8 mile run (my longest ever!)
Sat, 6/23 - 3 mile run

Not a lot of variety, as you can see, but my priority was just sticking to my running this week. Next week I hope to get back to some strength training as well!
