WW @ Home - end of 17 week challenge

I have been "lurking" on the boards for some time now, today I am so proud of myself and my roommate that I had to jump in and say something. Here's the story...back in January, the company I work for offered a 17 week WW @ Work program. Several of my co-workers decided that they were going to sign up, and encouraged me to do the same...whoever lost the largest % of weight in the 17 weeks would collect $20 from the others. I talked to my roommate and we decided to skip the $180 fee and do WW @ Home (I had bought the pkg a couple of years ago). This morning was our final weigh in (final only in the sense that it is the end of the 17 weeks)....I have a 15% total weight loss and my roommate has a 16% total weight loss. The others in the group, while the did lose weight, didn't come near out %.
I can't say I am happy that it took a contest to get me to start losing weight, but I can say that I am glad I started. My roommate and I each have about 60 more lbs to lose, and we are committed to WW and finally dropping all these lbs.
Tomorrow night I am heading back home,from Seattle to the mid-west, to attend my nieces high school graduation...I'm already looking forward to coming home and kicking off a new exercise routine.
