Talking Phase 11 & beyond~Any Protein shake mix allowed?

Hi all...regarding protein mix to make a smoothie with in the morning,...I managed to get through P1 with the eggs/eggs/and some ccheese when I couldn't stand eggs anymore..but now,on some occasions...like tomorrow b4 I charge off to the denist, I'd really like to find a good protein mix low sugar(of course)hi-fiber that I can add a few no sugar(of course)strawberries to,and call it a fast heathy,on program breakfast. I've searched, and have had no luck. Anyone with some info.on this is really appreciated.
How's everyone doing?...Well I hope...All I can say is if I follow the routine to the 'T'...I lose...if I try to kid myself,I don't...no magic there. Take care, sorry for missing in action last week, but i'm keeping on the path..and will report in tomorrow. Choices~

Hi Choices. I don't know about protein powder, but I'm looking forward to hearing the answers. I can tell you that I use silken tofu in my smoothies and they taste great.

there is no magic... protein powder really goes against the SBD principles of good healthy wholesome FOOD. why anyone would want to drink their food I don't know.

make a smoothie with yogurt strawberries flaxmeal or the like if you must...I don't personally have any idea how to do it but i'm sure others will.

for me a fast breakfast in phase 2 is grab a hard boiled egg, grab a homemade oatmeal bar grab a can of v8 and i'm out the door...

Hi, Choices, you are allowed protein powders as long as they meet the SBD standards, such as no or low sugar. Ruth has a great protein shake recipe in the Phase 1 Breakfasts that you should try, it's delicious and very filling!

I make us smoothies in the truck, Have a small blender I bought at Wally-World...This is what I us...

Mind you this is a small blender..This is one serving..

3/4 cup ice
1/2 up cup with 1% or FF Milk
3 to 4 Tbs FF vanilla yogart
3 to 4 TBS splenda

That is the Base...
Then I use fresh fruit..A smalll banana, or couple of strawberries, Blueberries..ETC....

You can also use a couple teaspoons of Peanut Butter....Oh and a couple of Teaspoons of canned Pumpkin is also great.....I also have put in a couple of teaspoons of pecans or walnuts, splash of vanilla if desired....

It is very good, we like them with pecans, cause then you have something to chew.....

I've bought silken tofu in both a block like container or in a carton. The best kind I've found is in the organic foods section of the supermarket. I wouldnt try anything but silken though.....the firm and semi-firm make a chunky smoothie.....is that a misnomer? I've been out of school for a while!

Ladybug...I feel I need to mention that I'm not looking for any 'magic' potion in a protein powder mix,or in any other food item. I just like the stuff..esp. when summer hits, and I can put my fresh fruit in it,along with my fiber..and enjoy.. it also gives me more variety. Thanks for sharing your breakfast style,I always enjoy new inventive ways to enjoy our healthy foods..take care,Choices~
