Would you believe I was just coming here to post a question about Walden Farms products? Wow--we must be on the same wave length!

Who has tried them?
What are they like?
Would you recommend them?
If so, what one's are best to you?
Can you buy them anywhere or do you have to order online?
What is the cost compared to other comparable items?

I saw them advertised in a circular from a nutrition store near me. It didn't indicate that the store carried the products. Of course, I didn't read the circular until I got home, so I didn't look for the products there. Perhaps I'll run back there this weekend.

We've had several discussions about them, you can find some interesting comments via the search Not everyone thinks they are yummy Maybe some of the varieties are better than others?

Yeah, after I posted, I did a search. It seems that there are three categories: those who love one or two items, those who find them tolerable and those who literally throw the bottle out after one taste.

I guess I'll have to try them myself (although I have found that Trader Joe's has some really good low fat low calorie dressings, so why am I even looking?).

I buy walden farms orange marmalade regularly at Ralphs... I really like it (esp since its ZERO calories and it tastes really good too).

What's actually in them? Sound like kind of a good deal, but not if it's loaded up with all kinds of weird chemicals and preservatives.

That about covers it, Jasmine Water, thickeners, dried herbs, flavorings, preservatives. It's hard to find the ingredients online, they don't list them on their website. I found this on Amazon for their bacon ranch dressing.

Purified triple filtered water, distilled white vinegar, cellulose gul, onion powder, garlic powder, pasteurized egg yolk, food starch modified, salt, natural flavors, imitation bacon bits, lemon juice, titanium dioxide, xanthan gum, propylene glycol alginate, sodium benzoate (to preserve freshness), sucralose.

I picked up a couple of these items the other day. The 1000 island dressing is actually okay if you don't overdo it, but I started with a taste off my finger and thought it was pretty foul. Once on a big mixed salad I didn't find it offensive at all. I also got the raspberry (or was it strawberry) jelly. Way overly sweet due to all the Splenda, but I mixed in a tablespoon of it in my plain Fage yogurt and it was pretty good that way. I haven't yet tried the chocolate sauce (actually waiting for one of the kids to try that first!).

I actually don't care for them myself. I much prefer salsa as a salad dressing.
