Way to go on the 6 pounds, Starbrite!
I've visited Belgium! I think I would have a big problem avoiding the beer too!

Hello everyone! I just thought I would make this thread a sticky instead of starting an October challenge thread.

Looks like some of you are doing really well so far!

My goals for this month:

Go to dance class once a week

Do yoga twice a week

Keep my head out of the Halloween candy bowl!

Goal for October:

Lose 5 lbs since I didnt lose any last month

Get back into walkin', twice a week (if it gets too dark or too rainy windy - need to do goddess workout (belly dancing) instead).

After the 7th, spend 1 hr with Kaipo(colt) everyday, training

Remember to drink lots of water

No eating when not actually hungry

kicking in for an october goal. 10 lbs.
Which will entail actually exercising 5 to 6 times a week, like I should be and paying more attention to what I eat. i'm also going to start my food journal again.

Hey guys, I lost a pound!

I don't know if I'll lose ten pounds in a month, but I will be happy with whatever I can get. So my Halloween Challenge goals are now:

1. Exercise 6 days a week.
2. Eat at least 2 servings each of fruits and vegetables daily.

I know I'm supposed to get more than 2 servings of fruits and 2 servings of vegetables daily... but I get even less than that right now! I've decided that baby steps are key, and I don't care if the weight loss is slow as long as it is long-lasting. I'm working on establishing habits that add up to a lifestyle change, not just a "quick fix."

How's everyone else doing?

keeping up with the exercise so far. haven't been journaling so i'm going to have to start that asap! i notice a big difference in my eating.

i had a sort of victory today. my 26's which honestly were a tad snug, i hate to admit... were falling off me. not like, oh my pants are loose... these are jeans, and buttoned and zipped i can pull them off me. i was dancing around all day today trying to keep them up! went right out and bought myself some new pants after work. woohoo!

on a side note - i know a few gals live in my area... cj banks is having a major sale. i got 3 things for 17 bucks! 2 pairs of pants and a shirt - and none of their ugly crap with applique's.

YAY LIZZINESS!!!!

I love the feeling of pants falling off! Sure it's a pain to adjust them all the time, but... wait, no it isn't! It's like a victory dance every time.

I'm down another pound. I'm so excited that my weight ticker keeps going down. I'm starting to think that maybe I really can do this.

Giovanni- please do join us!

I have been slacking big time this last week. We had a potluck at work, then a birthday, then I just HAD to have a burger. sigh. i hate cravings and i really hate that if there is food in front of me i will have it. still shopping more wisely and i am down another lb. but it's not enough. rawr.
i haven't started the food journal or kept up my exercise. i guess i'd better step it up right now!

how's everyone else doing?

welcome giovanni!

So far, so good . . . I have not consumed any candy yet this month.

I gained a couple of lbs over Thanksgiving but I have lost 1 already.
