This is NOT a Challenge - it is a place for us to record our daily behaviors (behaviours) toward being personally responsible for our EFFORTS. We cannot control our OUTCOMES - weight - however, we can control our EFFORTS - daily actions aimed at losing/maintaining weight.

*Walk or Jog 5K/Bike 5K/45 Counter Push-ups/5+ Real Push-ups: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday
*Circuit training: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (at least 2x)

Okay . . . Here's MEOWEE . . . back later to figure out the details.

So, here I go again, doing a wonderful job of maintaining this silly 215 pound number. I go down and then I go up and then we have an instant replay. March sounds like a good month to break the trend. A good month to go down and stay down.

On a suggestion by my doctor, the only thing I'm actually going to track and record this month is NET CARBS -- why? --- because my blood sugars are out of whack and because he thinks I'm being too obsessive about both the BGLs and the scale numbers. Do I agree? Probably not; but it's definitely worth a try.

March 2 revision -- who am I kidding. I'm a math nerd, it's impossible for me to count only one element so why try? I just won't tell the Doctor

Here I am again. Still on the road but will post as often as I can. I lost 1/2 lb in February. Not nearly as much as I'd hoped for but at least it's a loss. That is from Jan 31st weight. I was high (166) on Feb first so from that I lost a whole pound! But I figuring it using the end of Jan weight. Again, I will be tracking weight, calories, carb servings, exercise and blood sugar. While my bs is not terribly high it is higher than I'd like too often so continuing to work on that. Trying to control it without meds as long as I can.
Goals: no more than 1400 calories, at least 30 min exercise 6x week, and bs within normal limits or at last diabetic "normal" limits. Hope everyone has a good month!

Ended Feb at 165 lbs.

3/1/09 166 lbs, bs good, few min. ab exercises, 1132 calories(edited to correct), 12 carb servings.
3/2/09 165 lbs., walked 39 min., 1501 calories, 14 carb servings (edited to correct).
3/3/09 164 lbs (finally back down again!), bs high but later fine, walked 42 min., 1469 calories, 11 carb servings.
3/4/09 164 lbs, walked 28 min,very bad eating day! Estimated 3007!! But think I might have estimated way too high as see below.
3/5/09 164 lbs, walked 30 min, 942 calories, 13 carb servings, bs great.
3/6/09 164 lbs.,walked 30 min.,bs slightly high, 1206 alories, 12 carb servings (edited).
3/7/09 162.5 lbs! YES!! Lowest I've seen in years!, 30 min walking,
3/8/09 165 computer was down yesterday and afraid I used that as an excuse to not track and overate. 1454 calories, 11 carb servings, walked 12 min. pulling full laundry cart at least 1/2 the time.
3/9/09 Was in Vegas visiting with dd and gs and eating out all the time and no scale (or computer!). Difficult to know calories but thought I did ok. Did a lot of slow walking.
3/10/09 breakfast out but now home. BS good, calories 1515 (est), 11.5 carb servings. No exercise today.
3/11/09 164.5 lbs. 8 min walking, bs good, lunch out, dh brought home apple pie! 1551 calories, almost 16 carb servings!
3/12/09 164 lbs,bs high twice, about 30 min walk, 2087calories, 18 carb servings!! (edited)
3/13/09 164 (whew!) walked at least 30 min, had a big lunch so walked again 30 min, 1225 calories, 12 carb servings
3/14/09 165 (I'm sick of that number!!), BS high later very good, walked 29 min., 1699 calories, 12 carb servings.
3/15/09 165.5 (REALLY sick of this number!), really bad eating day! Buffet brunch and although I tried to be careful it set me off eating. I must learn discipline! Didn't bother to track today.
3/16/09 166! Getting worse and worse with all this eating out and we ate out again today. Tried really hard though and est 1394 calories, 12.6 carb servings. Walked 32 min. BS great.
3/17/09 165 lbs. walked 30 min, walked again in the afternoon at least 15 min and pulling a loaded laundry cart at least 1/2 of that. 1339 calorie, 11 carb servings, bs high.
3/18/09 164 lbs, walked about 5 min, so far doing well on calories and carbs, but will be offline rest of day until Friday evening.
3/19/09 offline
3/20/09 Back in RV Didn't eat much last couple days and walked a lot...think my weight was probably down but then tonight we got home and I was very hungry and overate. Probably around 2000 cal but bs was good.
3/21/09 165.5, bs high. walked about 7 min, lunch out but we shared part of it, 1702 calories, 13 carb servings.
3/22/09 165.5 lbs. another bad eating day!! Right now I'll be glad to get home as we won't be eating out so often. This is he part of our trip when we tend to eat out more than usual.
3/23/09 165.5, walked about 9 min., 1278 calories, 11 carb servings.
3/24/09 165.5, no walking as a travel day, bs high, 1594 calories, 12 carb servings.
3/25/09 165, another traveling day.

My March Accountability Post

Current weight -239 lbs
Will document daily weights and exercise minutes

1 239 lbs 11 min. brisk walk outside omg I thought I would never get home!
2 239 lbs 0 min. came home from work nauseous with headache went to bed. Flu going around.
3 235 lbs 0 min. also no need to mention how I lost 4lbs in 14 hours. YUK!
4 238 lbs pm weight w clothes 0 min. showered, dressed, ran to grocery store, back to work tomorrow, yeah!
5 236 lbs 0 min. Worked 4 hours ...still taking it slow...
6 236 lbs 0 min. put in 8hrs at work, ran to wallyworld, came home collapsed
7 236 lbs 20 min. on gazelle..finally. Started out and ending the week with good intentions Week one - minus 3lbs plus 31 minutes

8 239.8 lbs 15 sit ups
14 238.1 15 min on wii fit Week two - plus 2lbs - poor workouts

15 237.8 lbs 16 min

I will weigh myself daily and walk daily (weather permitting). When the gym reopens, I'll go to the gym when weather is too cold or too hot. Take a protein bar with me when I'm going to be away from home for more than 3 hours.
Started 3FC on February 7, 2009 at 237 lbs.
March 1, Sunday: 232 lbs walked
2 Wahh! exercised (quitting is not an option)
3 Ugh! walked (count calories!!)
4 Going back down. Walked 45 min. plus
5 still going down (Keep doing what I'm doing)
6 232 lbs (Do not celebrate with food)(snack on broccoli,lettuce/
salad spritz)
7 231 (Do not celebrate with food. Keep doing what I'm doing) (Today is 3FC one month anniversary. Losing 2 lbs a week.) Walked
March 8, Sunday: 229 Finally!!! Below 230. (Do not celebrate with food)
9 231 (Do not become discouraged. Weight fluctuates. Weight is going down. Hang in there. Stay at 1600 calories. Weight will probably be down tomorrow. Have not celebrated with food and stayed at 1600, so weight will keep going down)
10 230 (Going back down) Walked 45 plus minutes
11 230 Stay at 1600 cal. Doing good. Weight fluctuates. Keep it in perspective. It's much better to see 230 lbs, than the 240 I saw on January 1 of this year. Walked 45 plus min. Beautiful day.
12 231 Much better to see 231 than 240. Walked. Haven't seen 231 in about five years. Cutting calories to 1500.
13 231 cutting calories to 1200. Budget calories like I budget money. Think and Do....Not think and eat.
14 230 Hmmmmmm. Staying at 1200 calories. Walked
Sunday, March 14 229 Going down. Do not celebrate with food. Stay at 1200 calories.
15 228 Do not celebrate with food. Going back down. Walked. Broccoli, broccoli and more broccoli
16 229 Stayed below 230. Doing good. Eating 1669 Calories today.
17 229 walked. stuffed self
18 228 Shocked. I've been stuffing myself. When I feel like eating sweets, I stuff myself with broccoli and water first, so at least I don't eat as much. walked after lunch and dinner. (My goal is to start walking after lunch and after dinner, now that weather is good and stays daylight longer)
