Has this happened to anyone else, haven't had a period in 8 months, felted bloated and preperiod for the last month (gained 9 pounds), I watched everything that went into my mouth exercise 5 days a week, okay you get the picture, I get my period and loss about 5lbs. What's up?

Very, VERY common, my friend. The weight gain and then loss with your period, that is. NOT the not having one for 8 months - that's something to see your doctor about - right away. Any change in your cycle should be noted, and NOT menstruating for 8 months NEEDS to considered by a medical professional.

Get thee to a doctor. And be glad about the 5lb loss!

I have gone to a doctor, menopause, was excited that the periods might be gone! Not yet.

It's not unusual for you to think you're almost through menopause and "oops" another period. You have to go a whole year without a period to be considered "done". I went for 11 months and had another period. That was my last though.

Your periods can stop if your not getting enough carbs.
