Actually since I've been on SB I have been mainly eating Romaine which I've found out I love, the only reason for the mass consumptions of the iceberg today is because I have it in the fridge and it's begining to wilt. LOL!
Make U Strong Like popeye Kye! I'm partial to Spring Mixes myself..but they can be $$$$.. I like to mix Red Leaf with Romaine too..I'm sooooo over Iceberg.. I tried it again after years of not buying it cuz it was on sale..and I was like .. crunch crunch.. chew chew, Taste??? Taste??? Where? Where? Can def understand using it up before it wilts FFF.. have you tried the red leaf?
Kind of like where's the beef...Where's the taste???!!!!!!!!!! I need to be strong like Popeye...just don't want those forearms...How attractive would that be?? NOT!!!
I love red leaf and bibb lettuce. Bibb and/or Boston tastes so creamy to me, it's almost like cheating!

Check out the nutrition and vegetables thread in the FAQ, chicks! It's a sticky. Romaine is better than iceberg, but not by too much. Spring mix is much better, but spinach is WAY better. Add in lots of veggies to your salads...lettuce, tomatoes, and dressing doesn't do much for your health.
I love adding 'brocco-slaw' mix to my salads...julienned broccoli, carrots, and cabbage that are prepackaged. Easy and very nutritious!
If I get a chance later today, I may split this thread into Phase I Menus and Phase II menus.
Hey, Schatzi - Taco Bake and 3-bean salad at the same meal! That's pretty dangerous!
