Talking Yep!

Actually since I've been on SB I have been mainly eating Romaine which I've found out I love, the only reason for the mass consumptions of the iceberg today is because I have it in the fridge and it's begining to wilt. LOL!

Schatzi! No I haven't tried red leaf. I do like the Romaine vs the iceberg though that's for sure.

I love red leaf and bibb lettuce. Bibb and/or Boston tastes so creamy to me, it's almost like cheating!

B'fast:
6 oz V-8 (gag-gag) with Worschestshire and tabasco somedays
2 eggs scrambled in micro
1 slice canadian bacon cooked in bottom of eggs

Snack
1 oz Kraft 2% sharp cheddar

Lunch
1 C spring mix
1 C spinach
1/4 C raw broccoli
1/4 C garbanzo beans, 4 grape tomatoes
1/4 C raw summer squash
4 oz leftover grilled chicken
1/2 C cooked veggies, today it was cauliflower

Snack
1/4 C almonds/mac nuts and cashews - has SBD seal on them and are they ever GOOD.

Dinner
HUGE salad - see above and add 1/2 avocado and whatever other veggies I have in the frig - grape tomatoes
2 kinds of veggies - 1/2 the plate - usually some broccoli cause hubby likes it and something he doesn't like (most other veggies)
Lean, boneless pork chops done on George Foreman grill with salt and pepper

Dessert
1/4 C low-fat ricotta with SF Vanilla syrup

Check out the nutrition and vegetables thread in the FAQ, chicks! It's a sticky. Romaine is better than iceberg, but not by too much. Spring mix is much better, but spinach is WAY better. Add in lots of veggies to your salads...lettuce, tomatoes, and dressing doesn't do much for your health.

I love adding 'brocco-slaw' mix to my salads...julienned broccoli, carrots, and cabbage that are prepackaged. Easy and very nutritious!

If I get a chance later today, I may split this thread into Phase I Menus and Phase II menus.
Hey, Schatzi - Taco Bake and 3-bean salad at the same meal! That's pretty dangerous!
