so i am such a geek! hahaha
i've been in the support forum and asking about this diet...today is my first day on it
i found lots of info online and i don't have the book yet so the list REALLY helped. i wasn't sure about the sizes. i mean is it better to do like half a cup of something or watch the calories.
i also have some questions about things like spaghetti--ya know like casserole meals how do you count that????
i hope y'all will be here for me

I am also glad to have found this group! I joined the 3hourdiet.com this past Monday, and other than their recipes, it's just not worth the $5 per week. I've posted in their newsgroups and haven't had responses to any of my quetsions. So, not a good support site. I'm trying to cancel the membership, but of course they want you to CALL to cancel. So, here in the next hour I'm sure I'll be on the telephone with a Rep who will be pounding me with WHY WHY WHY questions and trying to keep me as a member. Sigh.

Hi and welcome to our group.....

Just jump in and start posting (down below in the lower half). We usually have a thread everyday to discuss anything going on in our lives and the diet.
Ask any specific questions there too....someone here will know the answer.

We do have the menu thread here, take a look at that for some ideas.

Glad to have you with us.

Phyllis

tomorrow is my official weigh in date. since i posted last we found out that my hubby will be going to afghanistan for 4 months in mid september. Ok in about 3 weeks. It kills me but we don't have a choice. We went on vacation right after we found out and i won't bore you with my lack of control when it came to eating.....So I restarted this diet on Tuesday but I'm looking to make sundays my official weigh in date. I've done real well....need exercise but at least the food part's going very well.
The tickers you will see...the top one is my long term goal......the bottom one is a short term goal.......where I'd like to be by the time hubby comes back in January.

Phyllis

Can you tell me where the menu thread is? I'd like to take a look at it. I do the 3 hour diet somewhat. Don't have the book but..My typical menu includes the following.

Breakfast
Bran Flakes w/ milk
Banana
Grapefruit Juice

Snack
26 almonds

Lunch
6 oz albacore tuna (plain from can)
1 mozzarella cheese stick
6 oz yogurt
small can V8 Juice

Snack
1 slice whole wheat bread w/ fat free peanut butter

Dinner
1 can soup (Progresso not more than 100 calories)
salad (green lettuce, tomato, cucumber, carrots)
Fat free or light dressing

Just curious to see what the menu looks like.
Thanks!

Hi F2P:
Trust me, if you put forth the effort, this plan will work for you. It's not a hassle to eat every 3 hrs, especially once you start seeing the results.

Fortunately for me right now...hubby is overseas, and I don't go out to eat so much....when he's home we always end up going to real nice places in which i have NO clue as to calorie count. But what I've gotten in the habit of doing is automatically putting half of my order in a box to go. After that I try to stick to the visual plate, but be wary of sauces/dressings,etc.

Anything I can do to help, let me know. I stick to the visual plate as much as I can and avoid the extras except for salad. Never hurts to have extra salad if you're hungry.

water water water too

No I mean when you're out and about (or don't know the calorie count) stick to the visual plate as much as you can. You should also use it at home, but be wary of what you put on your plate. Always count your calories!!!!! That's what I've gotten from the book.
