Default scoliosis?

Anyone else here have scoliosis? I do, and it makes doing abdominal and back exercises nearly inpossible to do. Any tips on ab workouts that don't involve back movement?

I'm having back surgery for it hopefully in December or so....

One great exercise is what bodybuilders used to call "stomach vacs" (vacuums) ... you can do it anywhere, anytime ... it's sort of like zipping up tight jeans and it helps to visualize that by just going through that motion with your hand ... starting below the belly button and progressively sucking the stomach in until you are contracting all the way to the waist (hence the "vacuum" ... you seem to be pushing air out of the stomach) ... focus and gently hold for as long as comfortable, then gently release and repeat as often as you like. This is really effective in pulling in and flattening the stomach ...
