Whell, i don't know if this is due to new job, but i've been delinquent in the past few weeks. i've had these little late night snacks that can really do harm as you do not burn that many calories when you go to bed. Furthermore, since we have real crappy weather in Montreal, i cannot go to work on my bike as often as i would like. I still do my laps at the pool 3 times a week however.
The good thing in this is that i haven't gained neither lost any weight. Since i'm 45 pounds away from my goal (210), i'll try to shake things up with meal replacement drinks. I know it is not the best way to do it, but if i can loose, let's say 20 pounds over a short period of time, this will take me closer to my goal and will give me the motivation to reach my objectives.
my goal is about 210 aswell how tall are you? i'm 6' on the nose. but at the moment crept upto 266 from 226 14 months back joy of being injury prone. started my running yesterday for next years marathon and new weight regieme and i'm swimming 1km a day should get me up and running (pun intended) for next year along with my supplement shedual (CLA, glucosamine sulphate and multivitamins)
A big change can so easily mess us up, Frenchie (I guess its because we have our minds wrapped around the change so much we don't have the energy to concentrate on other important things in our lives.) I'm sure once you settle down into a comfort zone at work you'll get back into your weight-loss comfort zone as well.
The weather can only get better, so I'm sure you'll be able to get on that bike far more often soon! As for the meal replacements...I don't really understand the attraction, unless its a matter of the forced discipline. I'd rather fill up on a huge salad tossed with some lean protein and fat free dressing than a small drink (especially when the protein drink is only a short term measure and you have to go back to "real" eating soon). BUT whatever works for you and provides motivation is the route to go (so long as its safe)! Bonne chance!
Good luck to you also, Si, on the marathon training and staying injury free!
mmmm i sense this getting very competitive frenchie in the lead at 255 me lagging at 266 and the H man fastly closing in on both of us at 288 and we are all chasing the same target i'll do you guys a deal when we all hit 210-220 we should have a celebratory dinner together
To answer Sy's Question, i'm 6'0 tall.....As you mentionned, it is very hard at the moment to determine who will win the race as Howie's dropping weight like crazy...
Anyways, ladies, once i reached my objectives, which is among other things, look handsome while naked, i'll be up for rent
Dangit wouldn't you know you'd charge rent when I'm gonna be a poor single mother Guess I'll have to wait for my prince charming to arrive here one day.
Now that sounds like a blast Si. We will have to think of a place to meet. Boy almost makes me wish I was single so I could get auctioned off. (I said Almost Kimberley)
