Thanks, Ilene! I saw the preview last week and alomst forgot about it. I have an appoinment but will see if DH can explain to me how to set up the DVD burner to record. I really want to see that woman who lost 300 pounds. She is very inspiring makes my 90 pounds seem doable.

Tuesday and Wednesday's shows sound good too. Tuesday is: "Anti-Aging Breakthroughs" (another fave topic of mine) and Wednesday is: "Are you the fat one in your family?"

Misty:

I was only able to watch the first segment with Kirstie Alley. She has lost about 34 lbs and you can really see it in her face. The audience was so nice to her and you could see that she was very emotional and happy.

Oprah gave her a new kitchen and while I'm not crazy about the color....it's very pretty. Kirstie had on a cool looking dress too.

One thing I'd like to note - Kirstie Alley has CURVES in her living room!!! She has the circuit training thingie right at her fingertips!!!!! How lucky is that?

I had to run out so I did not see the woman who got bypass surgery and lost 300 lbs.

I love Oprah! I will be starting her Boot camp today to lose my last 30 lbs. 1 mnth no carbs. yikes.

Anyhow. I can't help but to be curious if she had plastic surgery to get rid of excess skin. Anyone know?

I wouldn't blame her if she did. Wish I could afford surgery, but I can't so I guess I'll have to get extra buff to make up for it.

To answer that question about Oprah I don't think so because she probably would've made a show about it or it would be all over the tabloids...Just my opinion, I may be totally wrong...

I just finished watching this episode (I Tivo'd it Monday). I found Kirstie entertaining, and I am glad to see she has found something that its working so well for her. I don't mean to discount her achievements in any way, but the segment with Stacey was brutally honest and totally inspiring. It brought tears to my eyes. At the end, Oprah said, almost under her breath "you have taken your pain and turned it into power". Boy, did that hit me hard. This woman is amazing, not only for the weight she has lost, but for the pain she has continued to endure to get her body and self esteem back to a "normal" range. There were some graphic tapes of the plastic surgeries and dental work she has endured. She is amazing. I don't think I could be as honest and open as she has been for all of us to see. I am so glad she has found the courage to continue and found love and happiness in her life. Wow, what a woman.

I watched pretty much everyday last week and yes, it was a great week on Oprah!

I've seen Stacey (the lady who lost 300lbs) on a few other shows and she is so funny. I love the way she puts things. She needs 10 surgeries and has had 6 of them. It had never occured to me that she would have neglected her teeth, but once she said that she was too obese to fit in the chair and didn't want to go through the embarassment I felt really sad for her and then really happy because now she's had her teeth fixed!

I'm jealous of Kirsty's livingroom curves gym! She even has all of the platforms in between each thing!

The show, "Are you the fat one in your family" really hit home for me. My hubby came home early from work that day and he watched it with me. I have always felt like those girls on that show and it propted the first ever conversation I've had with my hubby about how my brother's teased me about being overweight. But my DH just said that it was one of the things that made me who I am today.
