Morning....almost afternoon actually......late start this morning and I can only pop in real quick. Lots of changes happening with the business and I'm trying to get back on top of it. Never let anyone tell you doing it yourself is easy, because wow, it never is easy. Anyway, I'll try and check in periodically today.

GET YOUR WATER IN LADIES!

Who's gonna start that water game? Any takers?

what a morning (and week!)

My DS goes to preschool Tue/Thur only (he used to go full time.) Well, he missed on Tues due to being sick. When I show up today, they all have little shoebox floats for Fiesta! She said, didn't you get the paper last week??? So, I rush home and get a box and a few toys - and we decorate this box totally last minute! ALSO - I need to chop 10 tomatoes for my daughter's school's teacher's luncheon! Here I am shopping, chopping, making floats, watching parades and delivering tomatoes between 9-11 am this morning!!! LOL - It was sight to see!

So yesterday..... I went to the optomitrist, but they didn't take my medical ins. (just vision) so they referred me to the ophthamologist next door. I have a recurring corneal erosion on my eye - compounded because I have dry eyes. (Basically a scratch that won't heal because I have dry eyes.) So, I got antibiotics and steroid drops for my left eye, and I have to use artificial tears all the time plus a nightly ointment in my eyes!!! I'm glad I went though - I hope it starts to feel better.

TARA: Have fun suit shopping I really want to get a new suit, but I'll wait untill I lose more right before I head up to the lake.

LOUISE: So, do you teach Math and Science? I taught 7th and 8th grade Science and loved it! I really like teaching Punnet Squares. Have you make ReeBops? They are little creatures out of marshmallows and toothpicks - the kids build them based on their genetic make-up, they toss a coin for Recessive or Dominate alleles! Have fun on the field trip. Sounds like a blast!

SWEET TOOTH: I would love a laundry chute - my closet is almost above my laundry room. I'll have to see about talking DH into it. Of course our kitchen island needs to be completed first!

LAURIE: You go girl - I haven't been on my elliptical in awhile, I stick to the bike. My exercise ball needs air, so that tells you how long it's been since I've been on it. If you are increasing inches - maybe you are bulking where you don't want to. Try to do more lengthening exercises. You could be bulking your ab muscles instead. I don't really know what to tell you to do though! I pulled my hamstring this morning, so I won't be doing much of anything for a while!

BARB: Good for you doing the Race for the Cure! I was going to sign up for one of those, but just haven't ever done it. I'm afraid I'll poop out!! That's fantastic!

I know there were more of you... I'm kindof rushing aroung this morning! Have a great one ladies! Keep on losing

Hi chicks I have about 2 minutes literally to say hello. Waiting for one wee one to show up and then I have to dash to the bus stop to pick up the others, then we will hang at the playground with the other mom's and sitters and all the kids for play time. Then I will have to dash home and get the family supper and then I am out the door for work. Life has been just like that lately. I never seem to have a free minute. Between my 2 jobs, and meetings, curves, and getting stuff ready for trips and dance shows and trying to get everything done for my dance classes life is fun. I am however back on the wagon for the last two days and thing are going fine.
Well i really have to dash a big hello and hugs to all, I will be back when I can post more, I have been trying to get in and atleast read some of the post so I am not so far behind. A big welcome to any newbies, and Ellis hope you had a great breakfast. (wink) I see that you have not posted again today so maybe it rolled into a lunch date as well. Bye chicks

For those who asked about the lime~~Most Turf grass grows best in soil that has a ph of 6-6.5 which is almost neutral. Georgia soil tends to be very acidic. The garden lime helps to increase the ph to a more favorable ph, thus better growth.

Well, my morning plans were changed. My little Shelby (Yorkie) developed a slipped disc last weekend and I have noticed that her belly has become distended. We don't know how it happened and it's possible she fell off the deck stairs. I was very concerned about it being a possible bleed so to the vet we went. Her bloodwork was good (no blood loss) and he thinks that she is just tightening her muscles in response to the back pain. Well now I feel reassured.
Yards are mowed and limed. As soon as I finish lunch I plan to pot a few flowers.

Hottie~~So sorry to hear about your eye. I know how painful the cornea can get. I once burned and blistered my corneas from a sun lamp. I didn't know that I was supposed to use eye protection. (yes, I was dumb!)

Sweet Tooth~~Too funny about moving one wall that leads to a domino effect of things that need to be done. Your DH must love you very much!!

Barb~~Thank you for your contribution to the Race for the Cure

Sil, I'm so glad little Shelby is okay!
Thanks for the compliment on my photo, sweetie. I was 35 pounds or so lighter in that photo, and if you could see me now...

Little Chick, you are LIGHTENING, girl! I'm glad you're back on the wagon... you're going to drop the pounds faster now that you're able to get out more. (is the snow gone yet?)

Christy, I hope your eye heals soon, hon.
I've got to do one of those "box" things, too. Well, my son has to do it, but I suspect I'll be roped into the job.

Barb, you are such an inspiration to me... to all of us! Good for you doing the Race for the Cure!

Laurie, you'll get that weight off, hon. You know you will! Hey, aren't those balls great!? I must get mine out again... you want to try doing pushups on one of those things.

Peggy, I love your laundry chute story. I want one, too. Mine is going to be a very simple drop from the main floor bathroom to the laundry "room", though. Right now, everyone brings their dirty laundry down, and throws it to the bottom of the basement steps. So there's always a huge mound of it sitting in the tv room. Attractive when guests see the dirty socks and undies.

BB, glad you're feeling better, hon!

I had a lovely breakfast with DH. We discussed ethics (Peter Singer), war (Noam Chomsky), and Big Business.
I tried to convince him to go back for lunch, but he said, "LUNCH!? How can you still be hungry after that big breakfast?!" Ummmm, HELLOOOO!? I'm a fat girl who loves to eat! It's not about being HUNGRY, darling!

LOL Ellis about the lunch date. I finally, after several years of training, got DH to realize that I need to eat every three hours or he'll be a very unhappy camper. Being skinny boy, he'll go days without eating, then eat a meal larger than the state of Florida. Very healthy. I know Adia can relate there...her DF does the same. Boys!

I'm glad you had fun with DH, though Ellis. I've never called that activity discussing ethics before, though.

Sil, I'm so glad Shelby is okay! I know how scary it can be when you think they are sick!

Barb, your poor little guy! I hope he feels better very soon. So glad it wasn't a wooden bat!

LC, I hope you get a chance to put your feet up...you deserve it! All that running around is really moving your ticker, though...

Hey, I have a minute and have to tell you about the lunch I had at Applebees!

They have new items on their Weight Watchers menu that are SB Friendly.

I had the chicken fajitas-it comes with the following:
Grilled chicken with peppers, onions, yellow squash
Whole Wheat tortilla
And Salsa, ranch salsa dressing, and pico de gallo

It was absolutely fabulous and not at all a sacrifice...

Now if they would only come up with a zero sugar hot fudge brownie sundae with no fat or calories that would be Da Bomb!

Sunny,

I LOVE Applebee's. If ever we go out, I always ask to go there. They are great about substitutions and making every meal really work for the diet. So glad you liked it!

Bamie, I would say cooked. But what do I know?

Yup, Applebees is fab. Adia told me that you can get the veggie patch pizza on a WW tortilla, and that is SO good. My favorite food there for a long time was the chicken fajita wrap...you can get that with a WW tortilla, too! I had that with a side of steamed veggies for dinner just the other night. Yum!

Evening girls.

Christy... Yes I do teach math and science to 7th graders. I teach in a middle school where we team. I am a half team with one other person. she teaches social studies and english. We have about 50 kids that we rotate between the two of us.

They did great with their punnetts. A few were very confused because of the Tt, TT, tt. But we were able to work through it. I love it when I can get through to them. They are so excited about the field trip. I told a few kids today that I am bringing my lunch today, and about 4 of them pulled me asided later to tell me that they were happy to know because they don't eat there either, or their parents don't have the extra cash. so I told them we will sit together and be outcasts. How cute!

Dinner was chicken and broccolit with a lowfat alfrefo sauce. Pretty yummy!

Have a good one.

Jamie

Jamie..I want to go see STOMP really bad. It has been to Huntsville but not at a time when I had the extra cash. I always loved the school field trips cause they were so cheap! When we lived in Tn. We went to The Opry several times to see shows. I was always happy to volunteer for FT! lol Now my kids would die if I were to try to go on one with them. 8th & 9th gd. lol Enjoy your lunch with the brown baggers! lol That was very sweet of them.

Oh yeah Laurie on the veggies...I'm not real sure cause if you choose to eat them raw one day and cooked the next.... well ya see. Like spinach raw nice size leaf cooked nothing. OY! (as you like to say) I am confused for sure! 4.5 c cooked may be 6c raw. Who knows! Not that you can eat toooo many but somedays I do good to get enough. Thanks for the input. Any others? lol
